During a press conference in China, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia made a number of announcements regarding its games line-up, hardware support and software strategy for the country. First of all, the PlayStation 4 will be receiving two new games in the form Kill X and The Walker, along with NBA 2K18, Fringe Wars, Sinner, The Crew 2, Wipeout PS4, Hidden Dragon Legend, NeverWinter, Freestyle, and Gene Rain.
Sony Japan Asia also confirmed some of the bigger AAA releases as well for the Chinese market with the likes of Knack 2, Sonic Forces and Shadow of the Colossus. Furthermore, it was also confirmed that PlayStation VR will receive VR video services through Jaunt VR and Youku VR along with a number of games which you can check out below through the tweets (this also includes Final Fantasy 15 VR).
Furthermore, Sony also revealed its software strategy for China. The company plans to bring in overseas content (most likely from USA and UK), develop new IPs and focus on “Made In China” products. Sony also revealed that they have over 100 games that will support the Chinese market across the PS4, PSVR and PlayStation Vita. To wrap it off, Sony announced that they currently have 70 million active PlayStation Network users.
