Resistance 2’s multi-player wasn’t a “shameful disgrace.” It was one one of the best online multi-player back when R2 came out. Of course it didn’t age well when Call of Duty’s multi-player blew it out of the water.
The best technical achievement about it’s multi-player was that even though 60 players were playing on a single map, the frame rate never dropped, the game ran smoothly.

First…. The 360 is shit, Secondly as Larry said the only good game coming out on the 360 is Gears Of War 3. I have a 360 and its just been collecting dust. Ever since Bungie killed Halo M$ is nothing more but a SUPED UP Wii.

What have you been smoking you TW@ , Resistance 1 remains to this day the best multiplayer experience ever on the PS3. Gameplay was excellent ( as good as all the C.O.Ds & M.Ws except maybe MW1 ) and the online set up ( Lobbies,chat,friends list,stats,DEDICATED SERVERS) blew all the competition out of the water and made it a joy to play not the total clusterf%§k of bad connections , lagg issues and mind blowingly frustrating party making problems that EVERY MW and C.O.D has been ( I’ll stop there because I’m a big fan of MW , I could go on) . Nearly everyone who owned a PS3 played resistance 1 for two years straight ( partly due to a lack of games I’ll admit but not only by any means) . Resistance 2 was a poor multiplayer offering alright , Maps were poor and the biggest mistake made was trying to make it more like MW but failing miserably which left it in a mediocre no mans land that failed to live up to any of our expectations but even at that it was O.K and shouldn’t be described as a shameful disgrace !

You ever notice how the only people who denigrate the 360 are those who don’t own the console? Tells you something. Me, I own a ps3 and a 360. So, according to your logic, I guess that makes me better than you losers because I own both. I can tell you unequivocally that when psn went down it didn’t really bother me because I had live to fall back on. I never put credit card info on the network (or microsoft’s for that matter) so that aspect did not affect me in the least. And there are plenty of games I will be buying for both systems the second half of this year, which I guess the rest of you will not be enjoying. My only hope is that these worthless hackers don’t strike on or around 11-1-2011. If I miss online uncharted 3 action I will be looking for someone’s blood. My most anticipated for 2011 early 2012 are Mass Effect 3 (on 360), Uncharted 3 (PS3), and Gears of War 3 (360), in that order. There are many others of course, but those are without a doubt my top 3. Doesn’t make you smart or cool to hate on a particular console, just makes you a fool missing out.

In reply to larry. That was uncalled for. Whether they like the 360 more than the ps3 or not, it gives no reason for you to make stereotypical racial jokes about them. To the topic. I think this prediction list is pretty good (minus a couple) and shows no microsoft bias whatsoever. Good article, Shubhankar.

I just hope NGP doesn’t take up half the show, I have no interest in portable gaming. They should have a second E3, just for portables. Nintendo and Sony always end up with longer shows than needed, and Microsoft is by far the worst candidate to have extended time on their single console alone… since they have by far the worst game library. Get ready for more timed exclusives and DLC.
