first, they don’t allow cross-platform play like Microsoft is doing. then they raise the price of ps+ mid-generation, they release gran turismo sport a stripped down, online-only game that requires 24/7 internet, then they release two ultra violent, disturbing trailers with no context (I’m assuming just to get a reaction… funny how every detroit trailer involves you making choices that can cause a young girl to die…. HOW DRAMATIC) which caused many to criticize them and finally, yoshida recently talked about embracing microtransactions.

meanwhile Microsoft has embraced cross-play with pc and Nintendo. they added backwards compatibility with original xbox games, they recently released cuphead and forza 7 (slaughtering knack 2 and gts), appear to have locked a deal to keep pubg an exclusive (according to their official site) and in a few days it launching the xbox one x, the world’s most power console and is in high demand.

I have no problem with gore, violence and the raw depiction of reality, but give me context.
Also, they – not just Sony, but the whole industry – should find a way to showcase their products in a manner that’s not schizophrenic: as of now we are easily presented games for kids, cute little games with cute little characters and then something like TLoU or Detroit with no warning whatsoever.
It’s not something you see in any other media.
