But it was mostly to do with doing the opposite of microsoft. There were many rumors that sony was going to have similar DRM on the PS4 and also had patents to support it.

There were essentially going to call the same play as microsoft but was able to audible and call the right play.

I think the same mistakes will be made by microsoft this time around.
