Sony Japan Devs Discuss 2017 Titles, Tease “Ambitious Titles”

Bloodborne, Gravity Rush and other devs talk future games.

If you think Sony has a lot planned for next year, then you’re in for some surprises. Developers from SIE Japan Studio recently spoke to 4Gamer for its year-end interview to discuss projects for 2017.

Producer Teruyuki Toriyama, who worked on Bloodborne, noted that the studio is working on “ambitious titles” and concepts for new games. No details can be provided yet but Toriyama asked for fans’ support.

Another Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has been working behind the scenes and hopes that something that’s been worked on will be done sooner or later. Gravity Rush director Keiichiro Toyama also said that he’d working on a new project once Gravity Rush 2’s production ends. As such, 2017 will be as busy for Toyama as this year was.

Then there’s SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida who wants 2017 to be a year of “amazing software” which delivers on the promises that this year’s hardware – namely PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim and PlayStation VR – have provided.

What do you expect from Sony next year? Let us know in the comments.
