It is always refreshing to see the usual idiocy, hypocrisy, double standards, and misleading articles from Gamingbolt and the comments from Microsoft drones like kma88, Mark, Red2k, and Michael that follow in the comment section.

From my understanding, SIE's competitors have been doing the exact same thing, but suspiciously you don't b*tch about it. And even if they didn't, SIE has been announcing and releasing more games than their competitors for the past 7 years so what does it matter when SIE announces their games? The logic in this article looks suspect and looks like just a desperate attempt at find things to b*tch about. Your entire argument also appears to be based off invalid reasoning. Just because SIE chooses to use their E3 press conferences to show what to look foward to in the long term doesn't mean they haven't revealed many games that launch soon after reveal. And it doesn't mean they don't reveal games at other events such as PSX, Gamscom, Tokyo Game Show, and Paris Games Week.

In 2013, SIE announced Killzone Shadowfall, Knack, Infamous Second Son, Beyond Two Souls, and GT 6 and all of them released within 9 months after.

In 2014, SIE announced Until Dawn, Bloodborne, and Little Big Planet 3 and all of them released within 9 months after or about a year later. They also launched Driveclub and The Order 1886 which were revealed only last year.

In 2015, SIE announced Gran Turismo Sport, rerevealed The Last Guardian, and other games that launch this year. 2015 was also the year they revealed many distant games such as Shenmue 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake because they had other games to launch that were revealed years prior such as Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank, and Street Fighter V.

Now lets compare this to Microsoft.

Microsoft does the same exact thing. They launch SOME games the same year after reveal only because they like to launch in the holiday while SIE prefers the Spring.

In 2015, Microsoft showed....

Halo 5 for the 3rd year straight

Quantum Break for the 3rd year straight

-Fable Legends for the 3rd year straight and is now cancelled

-Crackdown 3 for the second year straight

Scalebound for the second year straight and doesn't launch until 2017

Recore which launches over a year later

Sea of Thieves which launches over a year after

Gears of War 4 which launches over a year after

-Forza 6 was the only new game that they revealed and launched within a year after.

Microsoft will probably show off Scalebound, and Crackdown again this year for the 3rd year straight, then show off Gears of War 4, Sea of Thieves, and Recore for the second year straightand receive nothing but praise

Nothing needs to be stated about Nintendo as we all should know.

It appears SIE reserves E3 to show off NEW games that you can look forward to in the near future as well as the long term future instead of the same games every year like Microsoft. They can afford to do so because they have more games and more announcement events per year than competitors. Microsoft probably doesn't announce as many games that are years away simply because they don't have any and they can't keep up with the amount of game announcements SIE makes.

I hope most of the announcements from SIE at E3 this year are new games for the distant future just like last year, just to see you make a fool of yourself b*tching about it. Meanwhile, normal people know that the PS4 has many games coming up soon and SIE has Paris Games Week, Tokyo Game Show, and PSX.

Interesting.
Because I would say if Sony PlayStation is memorable for something it would be their advertising.

The stuff from the PS1/PS2 era, for example, is now considered iconic.

Dude get it right you say Sony's E3 last year was legendary and then go down to bash it as endemic and silly which one is it? If people think Sony's E3 was legendary there is no way they will change it as the E3 outcome is a reflection of reality. The way I see it Sony gave the public what they wanted announcements asked for, I won't be surprised if Beyond good and evil and other nostalgic games are announced at their conference. It indeed might be good to announce things closer to launch than farther.
