It’s been a bit quite on the system updates front on the PS4 lately- we did have a rather substantial and major update quite a few months ago, and since then, it’s been radio silence. But it seems as though Sony is preparing to launch a new firmware update for the PS4- and it also seems as though, once again, they want beta testers to ensure all the bugs and kinks are worked out before the update is launched to the general public.
If you want to beta test, you can click here to sign up. The beta will kick off in early March, and if you’re part of it, you’ll receive an email with instructions on downloading the system software later. You can roll back to the previous system software at any time, so you won’t be stuck with a buggy, beta build of the OS for your PS4, either.
What does Sony have planned for this update? Hopefully, better organization options for our libraries and home screens, including the introduction of folders.
