Gamescom is no doubt the biggest European show. However, they’ve been bolstered by the fact that Sony and Microsoft have held keynotes every year since it’s induction.

Paris Games Week however, has not ever had the luxury of one of the platform holders having a keynote. What makes that impressive is that PGW has the 2nd highest number of foot traffic at a gaming conference in the world (2nd only to Gamescom) and has been around a year less.

Calling PGW a B-list show is ignorant. You may not of heard of it personally but that hardly makes it less noteworthy.

For me I think X1 has the excludives that matter from now till next year and I’m sure with their focus on first party and their listening to feedback they’ll have more amazing games to announce and show starting from next year’s GDC to E3, Gamescon and Phil as even mentioned doing an XO event next year which makes me believe they must have a ton of content. The size of a developer as nothing to do with it being triple A or not Blue Dragon and Lost odyssey also had small teams but turned up as triple A games. Also you are nit picking but let me had a few to the list of X1 exclusives that you failed to mention.
1. Sea of thieves 2. Halo wars. 3 . Cuphead 4.Recore 5.Gigantic
Then there is still Halo 5 , Fable and rise of the tomb raider (timed I know )this year.
Only the following can be regarded as triple A
PS4 has 1)Horizon: Zero Dawn, 2)The Last Guardian, 3)Uncharted 4, , 4)Ratchet & Clank, 5) Gran Turismo 7 .
The rest are either not triple A or not widely known.
6)Ni-Oh, 7)Gravity Rush 2 ,8)RIGS, 9)Yakuza 6, probably 11)Deep Down and 12)Let it Die as well.
Some of th games you list here like Rigs and let it die. I have never heard of and feel like filler or grasping for straw. Maybe the ps4 has more exclusives, but bringing in the most is not what matters but bringing what counts that is what matters. A majority of the exclusives on PS4 are not triple A and many on your list here are not neither do they have the production level or quality levels of X1 exclusives. So PS4 is indeed weaker in this department.
There is no denying that the PS4 sells better than the X1. The X1 is at least selling and doing well enough to remain in the market which is what’s important. Walmart outsells everyone and is doing many times better than the rest but ss long as the rest like Target get some share of the market it’s okay. MS doesn’t have to be on top if they’re making money that’s good for them, I’m only concerned about the benefits to gaming which I gain from and as long as they’re in the market making money that ensures their stay and furthering competition in the industry I’m happy.
But just to humor you a little let me say the X1 can’t effectively compete with the PS4 until it promised features have fully rolled out. If anything I have noticed it’s the big triple A multiplatform games that have been selling which has been a big boon for the PS4. Games like Witcher and batman have shown that, they’ve looked best on PS4 due to the resolution difference but all that will change when new features launch making the X1 console more equipped for the future. I don’t want to push it but DX12 will apparently put an end to the resolution problem on X1 when windows 10 launches on the console and also if crack down is to be believed we might be witnessing the dawn of something big especially when developers start using the cloud in similar ways. Well I’ll stop now.

An event is only ever as big as its announcements. PGW is smaller, but only because it’s never had big keynotes, instead just providing hands on time with games announced at E3 and Gamescom. Now that Sony are holding a live conference at PGW, it’ll get much more attention than ever, just as Gamescom had less without Sony’s announcements.
