We definitely have some common ground. Yeah I’m a fan of platformers for sure. I think Jak 2 was one of the best games ever and killzone 1 is one of my all time favorite shooters. I’m not trying to take away from what naughty dog, sucker punch and guerilla games are doing now because they do great work but i loved their old games and have no interest in their new ones maybe because of art direction or the stories just don’t interest me. I’m glad so many people enjoy their new titles and hope they keep their fans happy.

We probably agree more than we disagree. I had a question for you…you mentioned Jak and Daxter/Naughty Dog, and as it currently stands, The Last of Us is one of my all time favorite games and for me is Naughty Dog’s best game. For me it’s not close, and I also love the Uncharted titles. Do you prefer platformers, or games like Jak and Daxter to Uncharted or The Last of Us?

Also, you mentioned Killzone and Guerilla, and I like the Killzone series as well, but for me, just like with Naughty Dog, Horizon Zero Dawn is easily Guerilla’s best work imo. Do you prefer Killzone?

Well you’re entitled to your opinion and you could be right. I’m not making an excuse when I say selling systems only helps you sell more in the future especially when you deny cross platform play. The redesign with Xbox one s and now with the new Xbox one X solves some of the brand’s problems. As for games ps4 has more that is fact, however more does not mean its competitor has none.

That was 2013. Plenty of time has passed for Microsoft to correct the failures of that messaging. But month after month, ps4 continues to outsell xbox one not only worldwide, which was always going to happen, but also in North America and the UK. That ain’t a launch issue….that’s a games issue. Sorry.

Time to stop using poor launch messaging as an excuse for why the console still lags behind badly today….after all, the xbox one is selling better than the 360 did, at least that’s what they tell us.

I think they market their exclusives effectively and they sell really well for being limited to one console. Exclusives help sell consoles there is no doubt about that, but i believe the horrendous launch of xbox one was what really created the gap.
