Space Hulk Ascension Will be Final Title from Full Control

The developer is winding down operations in light of investor loss.

In other industry news, Space Hulk: Ascension developer Full Control has announced that it will be laying off a majority of its staff due to an investor loss and lack of funding for any new games.

The decision was thus made by founder and CEO Thomas Hentschel Lund to continue to support existing titles and go out on top rather than eventually faced bankruptcy. Speaking to Nordic Game, Lund said, “After releasing ten games with considerable critical and commercial success, we’ve made the difficult decision that the release of Space Hulk: Ascension will be our last one.

“We simply wanted to stop when we were at the top of our game.”

Lay-offs as the company began as 2014 came to a close and have only continued. Lund will be joining Sybo Games and working on bringing Space Hulk along with its sequel to PS3, Vita, Wii U and mobiles. Despite the winding down, DLC planned for Space Hulk: Ascension will still be arriving as per original plans.
