In reply to Sloth. It's also more revenue for MS by tapping into the large PC gamer population who have for years begged for Xbox exclusives. Also MS is expanding it's install base this way.

Having a console isn’t the same as having a pc. I built most my own pc last year….and I still game on my xbox more. There’s a simplicity to gaming on a console, but sometimes I do put in the effort to game on my pc. Definitely will when the oculus rift comes out.

My xbox is more social, more mobile, and everything is taken care for me in the background. I never want to drag my pc anywhere, it’s a full sized case…never let people touch my pc, and couch co op isn’t really a thing on my pc. If something is wrong with my xbox I gotta to call xbox…..if something is wrong on my pc I can’t figure out myself, I think there is about 6 or 7 numbers I can call….

In reply to efnet. Well that still leaves the problem that I can play exclusives on the pc with alot more power and options. I like the move really I just think it sucks for my X1 but I'll just wait and see. If games like scalebound/Qb end up on the pc to I will just sell my X1 and focus on PC/Ps4.

Not sure if this is a good move from Ms. I speak for myself don’t know what other x1 owners will do but if I can buy the same AAA exclusive for the pc for a cheaper price with more power (pc options) then I will skip the x1 version. The X1 exclusives are great but my X1 itself feels not that exclusive and great anymore. Great move for gamers not that of a great move for the X1 itself

Everybody is doing it. Sony tells their customers you DON”T need a ps4 to access ps3 and some ps4 games when you subscribe to PS NOW for $19.00 p/m. Just get yourself a Sony or samsung TV or even a blu ray player and your good. Nintendo partnered up with DeNA to make mobile games based on NIN iconic IPs. This is all good for gamers and reg customers who dont want to invest in a console in my opinion. More choices in how you want to access your games. Then so is MSFT attempt to maximizing game sales by bringing it’s XB1 brand under one unifying umbrella, catering to the 200+ mil windows 10 devices/users. I can now play on my XB1, surface pro, laptop, gaming rig PC, and someday cellphone via app.
