Splatoon 2 Beta Client Is Available To Download Now

But you can't play until March 24.

Later this month, Nintendo will be hosting an open beta for Splatoon 2– the Global Testfire, which will let players go hands on with the new game ahead of its launch, and, presumably, let Nintendo do some server stress tests, too. Considering how popular Splatoon was, excitement for Splatoon 2 is naturally pretty high- so it should probably come as exciting news to a lot of people that the client for the Global Testfire is now available to download on the eShop.

Of course, you can download the client, which comes in at 480 MB – but you can’t actually play it yet. Servers won’t go live until the 24th, so you can’t do much with it- but hey, you at least have a Splatoon inkling icon on your home screen… right?

Splatoon 2 is due out exclusively on the Nintendo Switch some time later this year, presumably in the Summer. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more information.
