Splatoon 2’s Newest Trailer Shows Off Footage From The Single Player Mode

Turf wars.

Splatoon is primarily a multiplayer shooter. Its success owes itself to it being a fantastic multiplayer team based shooter. But it also has a pretty cool single player campaign- a tradition that it looks like the upcoming Splatoon 2 will be continuing with.

And to highlight the single player modes in Splatoon 2, a new trailer was released today, one which specifically focuses on all the stuff you can do in the game by yourself, including, of course, the campaign. The single player mode will apparently be a bit more reflective of the multiplayer this time around (in a case of total dissonance, the original game famously had a single player campaign that was basically a 3D platformer), and have exclusive specialized weapons.

You can check out the trailer for yourself below, and see what you think of the new campaign. Splatoon 2 is due out on the Nintendo Switch exclusively next month.
