I can concede it is not complete, that is true. However, my original comment was directed at those that have been spouting that even Star Marine and now 3.0 were not real, were fake, would never see the light of day..

So while, yes, the game is not fully complete, the point was that those others were full of it and I wonder if they have the balls to admit it as loudly as they did the lies they made….

I’m just saying maybe you want to wait until it’s released or even at least beta form before you start you victory lap.

Nothing really has changed, still testing, still in development.

Full release no it is not out yet.. But at least they are not releasing it like so many other titles (Mass Effect Andromeda, Battlefield series and many others) that are basically unfinished on release.

Not to mention, it is well known the industry average for a AAA title is 5-7 years in development. This is the 4th complete year of actual coding, 5 years if you include the first year of putting together a company, setting up offices etc etc. So by all rights based on the average in the entire industry, they still have 2 years to use if they need it..

AND btw, so many of you seem to forget one very big part of this.. They are not developing one AAA title. They are developing TWO at the SAME time.

They have never given an explicit date for release. They have said a few times when they hope to have it out etc.. a mistake they have fixed. Not the first time a company has been over excited to get their project out, is it?

As backer, I am not worried at all. I backed this project in the beginning just as I have many other projects.. some that did fail. But this one, I have no hesitation with because I have read, listened and paid attention to everything. It is not like this is some simple little linear play once game we are talking about..

We ARE talking about actually TWO full games, one an MMO, being developed to the AAA level at the SAME TIME and with capabilities and fidelity never before seen in a game.

No, I am not worried. And I continue to back the project as do over a million others. Why? Because having a game and simulation of this scope in space is something many many gamers have wanted for so long.. and by backing and taking a chance at it, this is as close to that as we will get for a chance.

Have they announced exactly when it’s releasing? Oh, they have and have then subsequently delayed it multiple times? Okay, let’s just see how this is when it’s out. Until then, I think people who backed it are in their right minds to worry.

Although I will admit, that this video looks very nice.

I asked if Star Citizen has been released, not an alpha update.

3.0 was released this weekend. 3.0 IS the first release of the actual game engine itself.. No more sandbox. While obviously the game itself is not complete, finally now everything that comes after is all content..

i.e. all the new careers, new sectors, mining and other jobs and so forth. 3.0 includes the main game engine that includes all the parts we have been waiting for. Even the new dynamic missions engine is in 3.0. The first moons are also beautiful as well and flying to them seamless is just cool as heck.

Again, yes the game is still alpha and there is much more to do but now you can get in and actually play the real game, do dynamic mission chains, explore the planets and bases and much more. In the months to come, CIG will bring online all the new content and full capabilities they have been working on now.

Obviously, they did not turn on everything since this was a huge release publicly.. And yes, they have had some issues in the last few days but they are being addressed.. Not easy to drop 3.0 and have 1.8 millions accounts suddenly try to all get in at the same time.. lol

These next few months as they turn on all the new content, is going to be a lot of fun, no doubt.

MY opinion, is we will get to Beta by end of 2018 and release to full live in 2019.

But, like I said, to so many who said none of this was real or would ever happen, here is the proof that they were so wrong.

So Star Citizen is released?

Simple, have you not see all the trolls commenting all over about how Star Citizen will never be completed, how most of it is fake, how Star Marine and now 3.0 would never be released?

Now, I am calling out all those trolls and their claims.
