Star Wars 1313 was debuted during E3 with some excellent footage (given above) that did not only excite us from a gameplay standpoint, but also by how amazing it looked. At first we thought it was all a CG cutscene, and when the developer revealed that it was actually in-game and all part of the engine, we were all shocked.
It has now been revealed that the game’s built on Unreal Engine 3, not UE4, as many people thought.
An Epic representative told CVG that Star Wars 1313 is being developed on the Unreal Engine, which is quite impressive. Seeing that an engine nearing the end of its cycle can produce such excellent graphics shows us that there’s a lot more to see even this generation.
However, Star Wars 1313 will probably be a next-gen game, one of the only initial games next gen to not run on UE4. Stay tuned for more info.
