Remember when Brad Wardell said that DX12 would allow games to look close to CG grade quality, for this generation? People gave him mad flack….but he was right. DX12, Vulcan and GNMX on console are now allowing all 8 CPU cores to talk to the GPU cores simultaneously to do many jobs at once, vs the older DX11 which saw the CPUs communicating way slower to the GPU cores. Now devs can do more with each graphics frame than ever before….
