DICE is currently hard at work on Star Wars Battlefront, the next game in the series of shooters based on the Star Wars movies, and a game that players have been awaiting for a pretty gosh darn long time now. We haven’t actually heard a whole lot of the game ever since its initial announcement at E3 2013, but we finally have one snippet of information that fans and people looking forward to the title might appreciate- the game will have Tatooine as a location in game, it has been confirmed.
This information comes courtesy of an interview that DICE’s Patrick Bach gave to a Swedish outlet.
“Our commitment to stay as true to the source material as possible has taken the form of the team traveling to the environments in which the films were made. We’ve been to the planet Hoth (Norway), the planet Endor (the California redwood forests), the planet Tatooine (Tunisia’s desert). Everything is being done to make the game’s graphical representation of the worlds as authentic as possible.”
So, looks like he may have inadvertently let slip Tatooine’s inclusion in the game.
Star Wars Battlefront is due to release around the same time as Star Wars Episode VII.
