The Xbox One is dead. Meanwhile, Steam is thriving. Capcom knows it. They just got done releasing Dead Rising 5, formerly an Xbox One exclusive, on PC. Crytek knows it. Same with Ryse. Capcom is shifting their main production from Xbox One to PC.

Because PC does what Xbox can’t. Remember that “accidental” advertisement of Sunset Overdrive for PC?

Ahem. Six months is the magic number.

Now Valve just needs to start up an advertising campaign. Subtle and awesome, it could be as simple as the tagline, “Pssst. Steam. Gaming. PC. Bye Xbox.” Or the classic, “PC does what Xbox WON’T.”

The beautiful thing is it’s already happening at the big publishers. It’s only a matter of time before Microsoft is no longer fighting the future and accepts the fact their red-headed stepchild is in fact that future and their golden child is nothing but an abomination.

Then the dark times will end and PC gaming will take its rightful place atop all of gaming as long has been prophesized. Rejoice, everyone!
