Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct Set for August 31

Nintendo will be revealing new gameplay details on the 2D sidescrolling platformer in a new 15-minute presentation.

With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4, the Nintendo Switch has already seen some excellent first party releases so far this year, but there’s still couple of major upcoming titles left to look forward to. The biggest among them, perhaps, is Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and soon, we’ll be getting another extended look at the game.

Nintendo had announced a Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct for later this week, on August 31, at 7 AM PT. The Direct presentation will be roughly 15 minutes long, and will feature an “in-depth” look at the upcoming 2D sidescrolling platformer and its new gameplay mechanics.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is not the only major Mario game set to launch in the coming months, with Super Mario RPG Remake also scheduled for November release. It remains to be seen how long it’ll be before Nintendo reveals new details on the RPG, though leaks have claimed that another Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for September.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is set to launch on October 20 for Nintendo Switch.
