Super Mario Maker 2 – World Maker Mode Coming Tomorrow in Final Update

Create up to eight worlds with 40 courses total as part of miniature games.

Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Maker 2 will be receiving its final update tomorrow. It’s a big one too, adding several new power-ups and course parts along with the introduction of World Maker mode. Check it out below in the new trailer.

World Maker mode essentially lets players design their own Super Mario World-style overworld. You can create alternating paths, mini-games and so on. Each of your levels can be designated to different points on the overworld. Here’s the kicker – up to eight worlds with 40 courses in total can be combined, creating entire games for players.

It’s crazy ambitious but there’s a lot more. Returning enemies include Phanto and Mechakoopas, the latter having different types that can fire lasers and homing missiles. The Koopalings also return and can be fitted into different courses as bosses. New power-ups include Bullet Bill for flying through levels; the Goomba Mask for blending in with foes; and much, much more. Stay tuned for when the update goes live tomorrow.
