Super Smash Bros. 4 will be releasing this year, and we’re lucky enough to get two variants- one for Nintendo 3DS, and then later on, one for Wii U. The 3DS version is actually very close to release (it launches worldwide in October, with a Japanese release slightly earlier, in September), so we’re learning more and more about that one, including more and more bullshit roster leaks, for example.
However, one piece of concrete information that we learned about the game was that the file size would be 2.1 GB. As Nintendo 3DS games go, that makes it staggeringly big- we’re talking about one of the largest games on the system, right up there with Resident Evil: Revelations and Shin Megami Tensei IV. In fact, the game is so big, it won’t even download on the 2GB SD card that comes with the standard 3DS model (2DS and 3DS XL systems get 4GB instead).
Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information, including, yes, our review of the title.
