Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Adds Castlevania’s Simon and Richter Belmont

Dracula's castle as a stage and Alucard as an Assist Trophy are also confirmed.

If you thought the roster of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate couldn’t get any better, you’d be wrong. During its dedicated Direct presentation for the Switch-exclusive fighter, Nintendo announced a collaboration to bring Castlevania over to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. That’s right – both Simon and Richter Belmont will be joining the battle. Check out the beginning of the Direct presentation below for the actual announcement.

Along with both Belmonts, it seems that a mission to battle Dracula himself will also be present. Various creatures like werewolves and Frankenstein’s monster appear as well. If that weren’t enough, Alucard seems to be included as an assist as well. All of this combined with a dedicated arena in Dracula’s castle? Heck yes.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out on December 7th for Nintendo Switch. It features the largest roster in the series to date from Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) and Sonic the Hedgehog to Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) and Pac-Man making appearances. That’s not including the sheer number of stages, moveset changes and much more coming to the game.
