If the blowout presentation at Nintendo’s E3 2018 Direct presentation wasn’t enough, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a dedicated Direct stream on August 8th at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET. Director Masahiro Sakurai will be on hand to provide “new game information”. Could this be a discussion of nerfs for Bayonetta, especially after the recent EVO 2018 finals for Super Smash Bros. Wii U?
Sarcasm aside, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has a ton to reveal before its release. On top of every single character in the history of the franchise being present, many have seen adjustments to their overall moves. That’s not including Metroid’s Ripley, the newest character to join the fray, or a collection of stages like the Great Plateau (Zelda: Breath of the Wild) or New Donk City (Super Mario Odyssey).
While there was much rage, both faux and genuine, over Waluigi not being included, maybe this latest stream will correct that. Then again, maybe not. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release on December 8th for the Nintendo Switch.
