Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Will Be Playable At San Diego Comic Con

In addition to Overcooked 2 and the Switch version of FIFA 19.

Nintendo has announced the lineup of games it will be bringing to San Diego Comic Con later this week- meaning games that will be playable at Nintendo’s booth by all fans attending the event. And the big, kingpin game that they will be bringing to the show is none other than Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which might end up creating a mini stampede around their booth.

Other games Nintendo will be showing off will include Overcooked 2, FIFA 19, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis Aces, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. A notable omission here, sadly, is Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! which undoubtedly a lot of fans would have wanted to play for themselves for their own personal reassurance, too. That said, I suppose that one comes down more to The Pokemon Company than Nintendo.

If you are going to SDCC, the Nintendo Gaming Lounge will be in the San Diego ballroom of the Marriott Marquis & Marina. You can go there anytime from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM on July 19-21 and from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on July 22. Meanwhile, if you’re disappointed about Pokemon not showing up at the end, perhaps our hands-on impressions might do something to placate you. We quite liked what we saw of the game.
