Everyone is always talking about how PC gaming is dead, console gaming is dead, and everyone is either Zombies or dead. It’s irritating and guess what the consoles are still here. Console gaming is primarily about the games, but it isn’t just graphics, story or game play. It is about how you interact with the game such as how you use the controller to manipulate and interact with the game. While tablets and even PCs might have better graphics and even some gaming specific controllers such as a Flight Stick or Gun Mouse there really hasn’t been much movement in this area except when it’s being used on a gaming console not a tablet, laptop, smartphone or PC. For gaming to eclipse on these devices they can’t just make a great game because interaction and how people enjoy the game is just as important. Another example: while I might play solitaire or tetris on a smartphone, the larger screen of a PC or even the gaming console is far superior. So the smartphone is a diversion, but the preference is the gaming console.

I think it will be closer to 3 years for mobile games to be comparable to PS4 or XB1.
Of coarse if there is more advances in battery tech that will make a big difference as well
