MGM studios recently announced that they will be continuing the Bond franchise, with the next installment in the long running series, featuring Daniel Craig, hitting the theaters late 2012.

With this, Hollywood news based website, Deadline.com writes, “Yet another James Bond videogame, which also had been held up because of the uncertainty, recently got the go-ahead.”

Activision recently released two new Bond games- GoldenEye 007 for the Wii and the DS, which was pretty good. And Blood Stone for the HD consoles… which was not so good.

There has been no news on who is working on the new Bond game. Raven, the developers of Singularity, are currently working on a new game in an “established franchise.” It sounds a lot like Call of Duty. But you never know, maybe the next Bond game will be a realistic military based FPS.

Or maybe it will be Eurocom. They certainly showed they do justice to the series with GoldenEye.

The just re-made classic Goldeneye game has been released for the Nintendo Wii and the music has also been revamped. Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger does vocals for some of the music in the game. She sings a song originally done by Tina Turner and really does a fabulous job of it. You will notice a new intro to the game compared to the original Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64.  You can listen or download the song right here and she sounds just like Tina Turner.  Here are the lyrics to the songs she covers:

The all new combat trailer released for Activision’s upcoming 007 title for the PS3, 360 and the PC, James Bond: Blood Stone is… BLOODY AWESOME, YEAH BABY! Oh, yes, the game bears a lot of likenesses to Treyarch’s Quantum of Solace (which, I admit, I liked), but the conbat looks so cinematic and fun, an the visuals… they’re looking great.

I just hope the game has mind blowing driving sections, that would make this a perfect package. Oh well, let’s the wait and watch.

“Let’s put it this way I think we would all love to think that GoldenEye may make it onto the 3DS,” Activision’s Julian Widdows told ComputerAndVideoGames. “Today we’re talking about the Wii, but yeah if you were at E3 and you played with the 3DS it’s a great bit of hardware and we’d love to see it on there. But we don’t know, there’re no plans yet.

“I think if Nintendo approached us we’d consider anything.”

Oh yeah? How about Nintendo asks them to make Call od Duty games for the Wii as well, rather than bringing out downsized ports on it a year after the game’s actual release?

GoldenEye 007 is due out for the Wii later this year, it was announced at E3 this June.

The development of the title has been split between UK-based Eurocom and US-based n-Space.

Few weeks ago it was spotted that Activision has registered the goldeneyegame.com domain.
