Mark Zuckerberg must be a pleased man after all the website he created has more than 1 billion users. That’s not a small amount obviously because 1 billion out of a total of 6 billion is gigantic.

Facebook also passed Google in traffic and is now the no. 1 website in the world. It’s a monumental achievement by a website to retain all those users.

Here’s what he had to say: “This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month. If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you,” he wrote on his profile page.

“Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life. I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too.”
