Nintendo and wrestling superstar (and meme) John Cena are apparently partnering together to bring us a brand new Switch marketing initiative from Nintendo. This initiative will include highly visual, interactive living room-inspired spaces popping up all across the United States- often in places you would never expect.

The first of these will be in the desert at Blue Cloud Movie Ranch on Feb. 23, and none other than WWE superstasr John Cena will be on site, play 1, 2, Switch with “invited fans and YouTube influencers, highlighting how fun it is to play 1-2-Switch using the innovative new Joy-Con controllers.”

“The upcoming launch of the unique Nintendo Switch console calls for a unique series of celebrations,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “These unexpected locations perfectly highlight the features of the new system, as well as provide one-of-a-kind surprise-and-delight moments that Nintendo does best.”

So that’s, uh… something. You can check out the list of the locations that Nintendo will be bringing the Switch to below. The Switch itself launches on March 3 worldwide.

GoG’s listed Baldur’s Gate II for sale in their service, good times for RPG fans.

The DnD RPG developed by Bioware will set you back by $9.99.

You will also get the expansion Throne of Bhaal, soundtrack, wallpapers, avatars and more goodies for the price.

The game released back in 2000 but don’t hold it against it as any RPG fan ought to give this a whizz even today.

It is currently unknown as to whether this date is region specific or worldwide. The date was confirmed yesterday on the game’s Facebook page. May the Fourth be with you (gerrit?)!

Aside from a couple of scans in local mags, nothing has been seen or heard from this game since the VGA’s. We got a feeling they have something up their sleeve though…

Mafia II will be on North American shelves on August 24, and will release around the world on August 27. The game will be demoed at PAX East for the public later this week in Boston.

VG247 was told a few weeks ago that 2K Games were looking at the possibility of DLC.

Assassins of Kings will be heading for a Q1 2011 release, and will feature a ‘smoother’ combat system and a ‘greater variety of tactical possibilities’.

Atari will again be publishing the game in North America, while 1C cover Russia and the developers themselves will be self-publishing in Central Europe and Poland. Negotiations are underway as to who will publish the Western Europe release.

The Witcher 2 will be shown to a public audience during the CD Projekt Spring 2010 conference on March 25, and live streaming will be carried out through here.

An official website for the game is expected to be up and running on April 7.

Peter Watts, the Canadian science fiction author who wrote the story to Crysis 2 and Homeworld 2, has been found guilty of assaulting a U.S border guard. IMPORTANT UPDATE: It has now come to light that Watts was only found guilty of obstructing/ignoring a request by a border guard. His non compliance resulted in the officer macing him.

Last December, Watts claimed that while in the U.S he had been beaten up, pepper sprayed, denied legal counsel, held in a cold cell before being released into a Canadian blizzard without a coat. The news was first broken on the blog Boing Boing, using the authors set of events.

Update: Here’s more from Peter, in his own words: “Along some other timeline, I did not get out of the car to ask what was going on. I did not repeat that question when refused an answer and told to get back into the vehicle. In that other timeline I was not punched in the face, pepper-sprayed, shit-kicked, handcuffed, thrown wet and half-naked into a holding cell for three fucking hours, thrown into an even colder jail cell overnight, arraigned, and charged with assaulting a federal officer, all without access to legal representation (although they did try to get me to waive my Miranda rights. Twice.). Nor was I finally dumped across the border in shirtsleeves: computer seized, flash drive confiscated, even my fucking paper notepad withheld until they could find someone among their number literate enough to distinguish between handwritten notes on story ideas and, I suppose, nefarious terrorist plots. I was not left without my jacket in the face of Ontario’s first winter storm, after all buses and intercity shuttles had shut down for the night.

According to officer Andrew Beaudry, when he approached Watts for a routine border inspection, the writer tried to choke him. Update: These allegations have been fudged slightly by Watts and one witness claiming that he did not do anything. Peter now faces a lengthy and expensive legal process if he is to avoid jail.

Watts has been bailed for the moment, but will be sentenced on April 26th and faces up to 2 years in jail.

The second iteration of the workout game will be released for Ps3, Wii, iPhone and iPod Touch this fall. Surprisingly, the 360 is not included in the lineup, as Natal seems ideal for this sort of game. Maybe it will be introduced later as part of a bundle.

An ‘online hub to track and share workout data’ will be made available too, with options to download more workouts and tracks.

The motion controls are said to be similar in design to the Apple iPhone’s tilt design. This only helps to solidify what Satoru Iwata said last month when he hinted at motion controls for the next iteration of the handheld console.

Since then, he has in fact retracted his statements, but it has piqued our interest.

According to CVG, one of the developers in reciept of the DS 2 development kit has said it is, “The best thing I think I’ve ever worked with”.

Apparently the time frame given for the game was wrong; here is the full email explaning:

Today you received an email on Xbox 360’s January NPD results, and we’d like to make a clarification.

We have not announced a launch date for “Crackdown 2″ and the time frame listed in the mail was incorrect. Please look for an announcement on this title at a later date.

Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

So the Big M got it wrong. No Crackdown 2 in June.

The feature describes how three highly anticipated sequels are arriving this year, including Batman Arkham Asylum 2, Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 and Infamous 2.

According to PTOM, the game will “[pick] up a significant time after the first game, offering a reshaped metropolis.”

Sony refused to confirm or deny the speculation: “We do not comment on rumor or speculation.”

So while a sequel has yet to be confirmed, it can only be a matter of time before Infamous 2 does arrive. Given the success of the original, it would be a wasted oppurtunity.
