The add-on is coming soon, with support for multiple games.

Sony have announced a new accessory for PlayStation VR, with a 3dRudder foot-based motion controller. And while it may look like a PlayStation-branded Roomba, as seen in the trailer below, it is in fact a new device from 3dRudder to hopefully balance out (literally) your experience with Sony’s PlayStation VR. The device will connect with your PS4 and allows you to steady yourself while sitting as you play with your VR headset on. It allows you to tilt your feet in the required direction to move your character, adding a new level of full body immersion not quite possible with just the current headset and Move controllers.

The device will be supported by over 25 games, and similar devices have been available for PC virtual reality gaming for some time. It will feature a quick plug and play approach, only requiring you to plug in the device into your PS4 and be automatically compatible with the PSVR, the Move motion controllers, and the Aim VR controller with no additional steps.

The list of games being supported as follows:

Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cypher

Undead Citadel

Sairento VR

Ultrawings VR

Bow to Blood

Pirate Flight

DWVR

The Wizards-Enhanced edition

Red Matter

Operation Warcade

Beat Blaster

Honor and Duty : D-Day

Honor and Duty : Arcade Edition

Nature Treks

Mind Labyrinth

Scraper VR

Affected : The Manor

Telefrag VR

TrainerVR

Proze

Darkness Roller Coaster

Vertigo-Home

Contagion VR

Shadow Legend

Blind

The device will retail for £119 / €119 / $119. It is available for global pre-orders now, and will be available June 17th 2019.

New gizmo revealed at CES 2015.

While CES 2015 has so far been great for fans of video games, with news on the latest chips from Nvidia and Intel both making waves, there are also some far more… esoteric… applications related to video games that have been coming to light at the trade show. One of these is- no, I am not shitting you- a way to play video games with your feet via a brand new controller called the 3DRudder.

The 3DRudder is a sort of rubber board, and it tracks your feet movements, with each movement being mapped to a corresponding in game action. I would say think of it as a Wii Balance Board, but it sounds like it would be a little more sophisticated than that.

It seems to be made for PCs, and is easy to run, just requiring a USB port and a few minutes for driver installs and calibrations.

So, um… yeah.

Thanks, The Verge.
