The Templar and Atheon are your challenges.

If you’re not caught up on Destiny’s Age of Triumph event, then each week sees a new raid featured with all Challenge modes active. With the old raids returning, last week saw Crota’s End. This week, it’s Vault of Glass so get cracking for those new gear pieces, weapons (both normal and Adept) and Ornaments.

What are the Challenges though? There are two for the entire instance: Templar and Atheon, the final boss. The Templar Challenge is pretty straightforward – block his teleport by standing in the white circle continuously and simply defeat the boss. Don’t ignore the Oracles though as they can wipe you even with the Relic’s cleanse.

As for Atheon, it’s slightly more complicated. When traveling to either the left or right portals, you’ll see six Oracles. Each Guardian in the raid must kill one Oracle. That means Guardians on the outside must open the portal and head inside to help kill Oracles. The portal can’t be closed and even the Relic bearer must kill an Oracle.

Simple enough, right? It also seems that the Vex Mythoclast is a drop from the final boss and not a quest like Necrochasm (though obtaining the Crux of Crota is still random).

What are your thoughts on the revamped Vault of Glass? Let us know in the comments.

Knuckles of Eao can also be transferred to the Vault.

A new hotfix is live for Bungie’s Destiny following the release of Age of Triumph, the game’s final live event. It’s nothing too special but does fix a couple of issues.

For instance, you no longer need to complete the Normal mode of a raid in order to play the Hard mode. Petra of the Reef has also had an issue fixed which saw too many Class items being given via faction rank packages.

Meanwhile, on the PvP front, the dev has added invisible physics and kill volumes on Bannerfall to prevent players from leaving the actual map space to gain an advantage. Ammo option problems in private Elimination matches has also been fixed and spawning on Last Exit and Floating Gardens has been changed to minimize dangerous spawns.

Finally, the Knuckles of Eao – which can be used to gain extra rewards for the returning raids – can now be transferred to the Vault and between characters.

Mayhem modifier comes to Nightfall.

With the weekly reset only taking place after Age of Triumph began for Bungie’s Destiny, many activities have finally been updated and are open for access.

The Nightfall is the updated Shadow Thief with a SIVA-infested Taniks. However, this will be the first Daybreak Nightfall for Destiny which means abilities and Supers recharge much faster. Void Burn, Arc Burn, Solar Burn and Ironclad (enemies have more shields) are also active so be careful.

The new Story mission playlist is also live, offering the ability to earn one Treasure of the Ages for the week and up to 100 Legendary Marks. It currently features missions from Earth and the Moon with Juggler and Specialist as modifiers. The Weekly Heroic playlist for this week has Heroic, Arc Burn, Specialist and Juggler as modifiers.

Finally, the featured Weekly Raid is Crota’s End. Both challenges – Deathsinger and Crota – are currently active and offer a chance at new Adept raid weapons and Ornaments.

Before there was Nolan North as the Ghost in Bungie’s Destiny, we had Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage. In its recent live event Age of Triumph which purportedly “celebrates” the legacy of Guardians, Bungie has decided to pay tribute to good ol’ Dinklebot.

ClumsyDanniey posted a video where upon completion of The Dark Within story mission in the Heroic Story playlist, the Ghost will slightly glitch out.

Dinklage’s voice can then be heard saying “That Wizard came from the Moon” before clearing itself and returning to Nolan’s voice. The line references the often-mocked, meme-worthy dialogue from Destiny’s beta that was subsequently removed in the final game.

What are your thoughts on hearing Dinklebot’s voice for one last time, especially with Age of Triumph being the final live event for Destiny? Let us know in the comments. Meanwhile, you can check out the teaser for Destiny 2 here with the full reveal happening on March 30th at 10 AM PST.

Bungie’s Destiny has finally received its last event with Age of Triumph. The event sees raids like Vault of Glass, Crota’s End and King’s Fall along with PvE content like Challenge of Elders brought up to the current Light level.

What’s more, classic raid weapons like Vision of Confluence and Fatebringer have returned, both in regular and Adept forms (the latter being Exotic and having elemental damage). All the raids won’t be accessible at once though – one raid per week will be the featured “Weekly” with all challenges enabled. This week is Crota’s End, offering players a chance to earn new armour and Ornaments.

It’s also worth noting that the raids have changed. In Crota’s End, the Bridge encounter now involves getting five players across which then spawns six swords. Players will then take down five additional Gatekeepers and Hallowed Knights before progressing.

The full patch notes can be seen here and changes to health regen perks, weekly refreshes on all vendors and more have also been included in this update. What are your thoughts on Age of Triumph? Let us know below.

Bungie’s final live event for Destiny will be going today. Age of Triumph marks the return of Vault of Glass and Crota’s End with all PvE end-game activities being brought up to 390 Light level.

Update 2.6.0 will be going live today at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT/6 PM BST/7 PM CEST. The overall download size hasn’t been revealed but expect it to be several gigabytes given the new raid gear, record book, sandbox changes, returning raid weapons and much more inbound.

The weekly reset, which usually takes place at 2 AM PDT/5 AM EDT/10 AM BST has been postponed as a result of the update. The Heroic Strike and Nightfall playlists won’t be available until the update has dropped. If you’re playing with other people and receive the Sheep error, then make sure everyone actually has the updated game.

Meanwhile, Bungie has already begun hyping up Destiny 2. More information including gameplay footage should arrive en route to E3 2017 so stay tuned.

Bungie continues to offer more information on Destiny’s upcoming live event Age of Triumph in the latest weekly update.

It was revealed that the various vendors in-game including the Vanguard, Lord Shaxx, Crucible Quartermaster, Dead Orbit and so on will have weekly refreshes on their stock. That means rotating perks on weapons and rotating perks/stats on armour pieces. You can still expect other vendors like the Speaker, Shiro and Variks to continue offering weekly refreshes.

Interestingly enough, Necrochasm – the Exotic weapon from Crota’s End – will be made available through a new questline. The Crux of Crota will still be important though so don’t get rid of yours just yet.

Destiny’s Age of Triumph event will be out on March 28th for Xbox One and PS4. You can watch the launch trailer here along with information on the returning raid weapons and new rewards.
Bungie’s final live event for Destiny, Age of Triumph, will be going live on March 28th. In case you missed the various live-streams the developer held to showcase returning content, then the new launch trailer should provide for some decent highlights.

In short, all end-game PvE raids like Vault of Glass, Crota’s End and King’s Fall will be available at 390 Light level (even the Arena activity Challenge of Elders will be brought up). All activities will drop new armour, Ornaments and Adept/Exotic versions of your favourite raid primaries.

Nechrochasm and Vex Mythoclast will also be returning. There’s also a new Record Book to complete activities in along with Mayhem Nightfalls, weekly vendor refreshes and so on.

Of course, many players are more interested in Destiny 2, especially following the game’s poster leaking and revealing a release date of September 8th. Regardless, will you be taking part in Age of Triumph? Let us know in the comments below.

CE Ornaments can be applied to VOG armour.

Bungie’s most recent live-stream for Destiny’s final live event Age of Triumph showcased some of the new armour Ornaments that players can expect to earn from completing weekly raid challenges.

Interestingly enough, Ornaments earned from the Crota’s End raid can be applied to Vault of Glass armour. Crota’s End armour has also been changed so that it visually regenerates after you stop taking damage. Ditto for the new King’s Fall armour, which briefly stops glowing when you take damage. If that weren’t enough, Wrath of the Machine will have new armour Ornaments to make gear appear more SIVA-esque.

There will also be an Age of Triumph armour set that can be earned with its own Ornaments and Chroma. Weapons Ornaments for Lord of Wolves, Dragon’s Breath and SUROS were also showcased. It should be noted that the questline you get from the Speaker will grant you only class items from the Age of Triumph armour set.

If that weren’t enough, next week’s update will finally see sidearms changed to keep only one magazine of ammo each time the player spawns. Special ammo crates will also reveal your magazine automatically. No Land Beyond will also be nerfed, possessing the same flinch as other sniper rifles.

Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence return.

Last night was quite the stream for Destiny’s upcoming Age of Triumph event. Bungie uncovered a whole bunch of new details about the loot that players will earn.

First it’s worth noting that Vault of Glass, Crota’s End, Challenge of Elders and King’s Fall will be updated to 390 Light, allowing players to earn 400 Light level items from them. Raid primaries will be available in two versions: non-elemental, normal weapons and Exotic Adept versions with elemental damage.

The Exotic versions look slightly different and thus far, Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence have been confirmed to be returning. It should be noted that not all primaries will have Adept/Exotic versions though King’s Fall and Wrath of the Machine have been confirmed as havin them.

Vex Mythoclast and Nechrochasm will return with the former working like before and the latter triggering Cursed Thrall explosions with any kill rather than precision kills. Auto Rifles will be seeing a boost while Handcannons will have a range reduction of 3 meters. Finally, Black Hammer will not be returning – it’s been superseded by the Exotic Black Spindle.

Stay tuned for more information on Age of Triumph which releases on March 28th for Destiny: Rise of Iron players.
