Alien Swarm Gets New AI Director

Alien Swarm, Valve’s new free survival shooter that was released last month on steam, will now be getting a Left 4 Dead style AI Director.

According to Valve’s press release, the new Onslaught mode “introduces an AI Director that dynamically generates swarms of aliens based on several factors, such as the squad’s stress level.”

“Onslaught works with any difficulty setting and ensures no mission plays the same way twice.”

The team has also added a Brutal difficulty, which they themselves cant survive, along with a Hardcore Friendly Fire setting.

Alien Swarm is now available on steam for the low price of free!

Steam is gifting all users Alien Swarm, for the rather nice price of free.

That’s right, Alien Swarm, the top down shooter from Black Cat games is now completely free on Steam.

“Alien Swarm” is a top-down, class based shooter, pitting players in teams of up to 4 against swarms of alien creatures on various planets.

No strings attached. You even get a new Team Fortress hat?
