The update essentially allows changing the skins of cards to characters from these titles. For example, instead of the Kings, Queens, and Jacks, you can have Geralt, Yennefer, Dracula, a Crewmate, and Dave. It doesn’t seem like the collaborations offer any significant game-changing mechanics, but they do look cool.

Balatro is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5, with over two million units sold as of August. Interestingly, this is only the second announcement out of three for the rogue-like title. Another is forthcoming, so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks

Borderlands 3 is the fourth title in Gearbox’s looter shooter series, featuring four new Vault Hunters, each with three Skill Trees to mix and match abilities. It’s sold over 18 million copies to date and received a positive response for its gameplay despite issues with the story.

NHL 24 adds new features like the Exhaust Engine while revamping its Total Control Skill Moves and Vision Passing. It also offers cross-platform play and HUT Moments in Ultimate Team. Among Us is, well, still among us, but recently received three new Roles – Noisemaker, Phantom, and Tracker.

It’s also worth noting PlayStation Plus members can claim a Genshin Impact PlayStation Plus Pack on July 16th, which includes 160 Primogems, four Fragile Resin, 20 Hero’s Wit, 30 Mystic Enhancement Orders, and 150,000 Mora.

Note that the game library may vary by country. More titles will be announced before the service’s launch in September. New games will be added two to three times yearly, though how many at any given time is unknown. Those currently subscribed to Xbox Live Gold will automatically switch to the new plan with no change in pricing.

Games with Gold officially ends on September 1st. Any Xbox One games redeemed through it are still accessible if you subscribe to Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox 360 titles obtained through the same will remain in your library, even without a subscription.  Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

The Destiny 2 cosmetics bundle, dubbed the Guardian Cosmicube, includes Guardian outfits, a Starhorse hat, and different creatures from Destiny 2 that can follow you around like pets, such as a Ghost, a Pouka, or a Hive worm. The Guardian Cosmicube will only be available to purchase until May 30.

Alongside the collaboration with Destiny 2, Among Us has also gotten other features in its latest update, including improvements to the game’s UI, an overhaul of the announcement screen, and revamped interfaces for smaller aspects like the petting action icon.

Destiny 2 recently got its Lightfall expansion, alongside the launch of a new season, titled Season of Defiance. It is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The tweet making the tease also features an image that further implies a Destiny 2 crossover, with the words “Eyes up, crewmate”, mimicking Destiny 2‘s Zavala saying “Eyes up, Guardian” at various points throughout the game.

Destiny 2 is currently getting ready for the release of its next major expansion. Dubbed Lightfall, the expansion will have players face off against the forces of Darkness on a new location, called Neomuna. The expansion is taking quite a few cues from classic cyberpunk imagery, along with a bright colour palette that seems to be inspired by the synthwave genre.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 28. As expansions typically do, Lightfall will bring with it a new campaign, as well as new multiplayer activities, and a new raid, as well as its flagship feature—the Strand subclass for all three classes.

Following its meteoric rise in 2020 during the pandemic (with around half a billion players in November 2020), Among Us has received several new features. Roles, Cosmicubes, and Cosmetics were added, and there are even ports for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It also received a VR version for Oculus Rift, Meta Quest 2, and Steam VR.

Stay tuned for more details on its announcement at The Game Awards, which takes place at 4:30 PM PT on December 8th. Final Fantasy 16, Tekken 8, and Crash Bandicoot are confirmed to appear along with 505 Games’ next title. Other titles like Diablo 4, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and more are rumored to appear.

The update comes via a dev blog on the Steam page of the game, sharing information regarding what players can expect from it this year. The dev team made it clear right off the bat that their priority as of now lies in adding the much requested friends list feature and the quality of life improvements the team planned for the game.

The dev blog then breaks down further plans, saying that the quality of life improvements specifically will target UX improvements, as Innersloth has been slowly adapting to the sudden popularity of the game and wants to ensure that aspects of the game flow are not confusing to understand.

Apart from the above, Innersloth also shared some more smaller details in regards to Among Us, such as the game getting a Nendoroid series of figurines (which are available for pre-order), free skins, a one-shot manga, which is slated to release in April of this year, and new merch available to purchase.

Innersloth also revealed that Among Us was the most downloaded game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in December, taking the #1 spot on both consoles, and that they will reveal more about Among Us VR soon.

Honestly, it seems the game will keep on growing in the future, as it is still one of the most-played online games out there. Here’s hoping Innersloth can keep this momentum going.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in fourth place has seen a significant increase of 143% from last week’s sales, thanks to the arrival of fresh PS5 stock in the UK. Meanwhile, though this week’s charts haven’t seen any fresh releases, both Among Us and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition did see their physical releases, and debuted at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively.

The macabre Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator goes live on December 7th while Halo Infinite’s campaign finally launches for cloud, consoles and PC on December 8th (check out the launch trailer here). On December 9th, the Strawhat Pirates join the party as One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 becomes available for consoles, PC and cloud. Aliens: Fireteam Elite and Among Us round out the first wave upon releasing on December 14th.

With The Game Awards 2021 coming up on December 9th, it wouldn’t be completely out of left field for Microsoft to announce even more additions to the service. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

The Cosmicubes add new character customization options like name plates, visor cosmetics, more pets, hats and skins. It’s essentially a branching progression system which rewards new cosmetics based on actions completed (which award Pods). Along with paid and free versions (purchased with Stars and Beans respectively), there will also be more premium sets for items with themes.

There’s also a new XP system which grants multiplier bonuses for Beans and Pods whenever the player levels up. Account Linking and Achievements have also been added while controls have been updated to shift actions like Vent, Sabotage or Special Actions to different keys instead of the main action button.

Among Us is currently available for PC, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch, with Xbox and PlayStation versions out on December 14th.
