Angry Birds Space becomes the fastest growing mobile game by passing 50 million downloads within 35 days, according to Rovio. They have also mentioned that the game broke all previous records (d’uh).

They have released 10 new levels for the iOS and Android version to celebrate this milestone, and have more fantastic plans in place.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to all fans of Angry Birds everywhere,” Rovio posted.

“While numbers like this certainly say something about the popularity of Angry Birds, for us the main goal is to keep creating fun new experiences that everybody can enjoy!

“We just launched the first free update for Angry Birds Space, with plenty more surprises in stock.”

• Internet Connection required for activation
