With the Battlefield 5 open beta having recently ended, DICE has made the Premium Pass for Battlefield 1 free across all platforms. This includes all of the paid expansions for the developer’s 2016 World War 1 shooter- but there is a catch. The Premium Pass is only free until September 18th. Get it now before it’s gone, essentially.

In terms of content, there’s a lot to dig into for those who only own the base game. The Premium Pass features four expansion packs – They Shall Not Pass, In The Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse. Each comes with a number of new maps, Operations, new modes like Conquest Assault and Air Assault, new weapons, new vehicles, and new elite classes like the Trench Raider and Infiltrator.

As for Battlefield 5, it will be out on November 20th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. DICE recently revealed more details about the upcoming Battle Royale mode, Firestorm, though when it will launch is still up in the air.

It’s September, and this week marks the arrival of the Battlefield 5 open beta. It will be available on September 6th for all platforms. However, if you’re subscribed to Origin Access Premier/Basic/EA Access or have pre-ordered the game, then the beta goes live early on September 4th.

What do you do when the beta ends on September 11th? For owners of Battlefield 1 who haven’t picked up the Premium Pass, it will be totally free. This applies only to Origin users and is valid up till September 18th. However, the Premium Pass is yours to keep beyond that.

Encompassing all four expansions – They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse – the Premium Pass gives you access to tons of additional maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, and so on. That should keep you busy until Battlefield 5 launches.

Speaking of which, Battlefield 5 was recently delayed from its October release date to November 20th. Feedback from the beta will be taken into account for the final game though. For a full rundown on the changes in the beta, head here.

DICE’s Battlefield 1 will receive its fourth DLC pack Apocalypse in February according to an announcement from EA. Along with including new maps, there are also new vehicles, gadgets and ranks to earn. Keep in mind that Apocalypse will be available for Premium Pass owners to start off while a standalone release will come later.

There are five new maps this time – Passchendaele, Caporetto and River Somme are ground maps while Razor’s Edge and London Calling are dog-fighting maps where players battle in the skies. The latter two maps are specifically meant for the new Air Assault mode.

New weapons include the Meat Cleaver and Chauchat-Ribeyrolles SMG (along with five other guns) while the Assault Class gets the AA Rocket Gun to help take down enemy aircraft. There will be new Assignments to complete and players can even try out Afflictions which will add an extra layer of challenge. For instance, using the “Mortal” affliction will cause you to lose 500 points every time you respawn.

En route to the release of Battlefield 1’s first DLC They Shall Not Pass which introduces the French army and four new maps, EA has revealed information on the next three DLC packs coming to the first person shooter.

The second expansion, Name of the Tsar, will feature the Russian army, a chance to ride with the Hussars and both the Brusilov offensive and Albion assault. The third DLC is Turning Tides which will introduce the Zeebrugge raid and Gallipoli beaches along with a new destroyed and airship.

The Apocalypse expansion is the final DLC and brings “the most infamous battles of WW1” along with the “brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock.”

If you have the Premium Pass, then each DLC will be available two weeks earlier from its worldwide release. You’ll also receive 14 Superior-level Battlepacks with in-game cosmetics.

Battlefield 1’s They Shall Not Pass arrives on March 14th for Premium Pass users and March 28th for normal users on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Apocalypse is the fourth and final map pack for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 before Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts takes over later this year. This new map pack, the capper to the game, will feature two all new multiplayer maps, two re-imagined ‘fan favorite’ maps, as well as a new take on the famous Zombies mode, allowing you to fight off waves of zombies in World War I trenches. Sounds like a pretty hefty addition, actually (unlike so many Call of Duty map packs and much of its DLC, which struggles to justify the asking price).

The four maps included in this map pack are Frost, Dig, Takeoff, and Pod. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Apocalypse will be made available on Xbox Live August 27, with release on the PlayStation 3’s PlayStation Network and PC to follow about a month afterwards. Sony’s released a single-player demo for Motorstorm: Apocalypse and it’s now available for download on the PS store.

The demo will come both in 2D and 3D versions and those who has a 3D tv can play it on 3D.

The demo, will take up 1206 MB on your HDD and will feature a portion of the game.

The first reviews for the game has just gone live in UK and you can expect our to be out very soon.

The game’s exclusive to PS3 and will be out later this week.

MotorStorm’s latest game, which is due for release very soon on the PS3, is looking f-ing awesome. The newly released trailer, which was shown at Sony’s GamesCom conference, shows the players racing through an apocalyptic city, as fissures star appearing in the road, buildings start crashing, proving as obstacles that players have to deal with, while taking care that he/she still wins the race. It’s gonna be intense, fact-paced car action all the way.

MotorStorm: Apocalypse,which (as the name suggests) is set in a post apocalyptic world, will support 3D, will let you customise your cars, and create your own modes via the ‘Mode Creator’ mode.
