It's time to experience Leon's harrowing first day on the job, Claire in tow, in a new way with some very attractive gimmicks in play.

Resident Evil 2 Remake’s success might have earned it a new lease of life as Bandai Namco Experience is gearing up to bring an arcade version of the game to select locations in Japan and Europe later this year.

As a remake of what is probably the worst first day at work in gaming history, Leon and Claire were brought to life quite well on modern hardware in this one, and it’s an adventure worth playing if you’ve hopped on with Requiem and want to see how the hatchet-wielding hunk got his start in the franchise. There’s a lot to like about the remake and getting to experience it in an entirely new way is definitely music to the ears of any Resident Evil fan.

The arcade version will have some fancy haptics on its guns, a floor that shakes things up, and even a machine that sprays the room with mist at all the right moments. There are also changes to a few cutscenes and enemy types to keep you on your toes if you’ve blazed a path through the game before. If you’re new to the franchise, we recommend taking some moral support along when it’s out.

It will begin with a test run at select locations before a bigger rollout across available regions, so keep your eyes peeled. Or you could wait for us to tell you about it. Until then, the trailer below is all we have for now. Alternatively, you can play the original, which is out now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.

'This will be the most complete version of the game yet.'

Tekken 7 is already available in arcades, and has been for a while, but now, a larger audience will finally get to experience its glory- Bandai Namco’s Harada took the stage at Sony’s Paris Games Week press briefing to announce that Tekken 7 will be coming to the PlayStation 4. ‘When this game makes the jump from arcade to console, it will be the most enhanced and complete version of the game yet,’ Harada said, before adding, ‘We have some special content in the works for PlayStation fans that is sure to please them.’

Tekken 7 has been available for arcade game systems for a while now, and has even been a fixture at the past few EVO tournaments. Playing it at home, however, will probably open it up to the series’ traditional fanbase.

Tekken 7 will be launching… some time. We don’t know exactly when. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information from Paris Games Week.

Tekken 7, which has been available in Japanese arcades for a while, will finally be playable for American audiences when it launches in American arcades later this month. The game will launch in six locations to begin with, with a full rollout planned in gradual steps later.

Of course, the arcade version of the game is not the only way to play it, as it is planned for a full PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC release soon- but if you want to get a jump on everybody else, the arcade release is the way to go.

The full list of locations the game will be playable at is as follows:

Dave and Buster’s New York
234 W. 42nd St., 3rd Floor
New York, NY 10036

Dave and Buster’s Dallas
9450 North Central Expressway
Dallas, TX 75231

Dave and Buster’s Milpitas
940 Great Mall Dr.
Milpitas, CA 95035

Round One Puente Hills Mall
1600 S.Azusa Ave, Suite 285
City of Industry, CA 91748

Round One South Center Mall
2351 South Center Mall
Tukwila, WA 98188

Round One Stratford Mall
152 Stratford Square
Bloomingdale, IL 60191

If you don’t live anywhere close to any of those locations, don’t fret- the arcade version of Tekken 7 will also be played at EVO this year, so you can always just watch it then, and get a feel for the game.

Brawling on volcanoes. Nuff said.

Bandai Namco has unveiled the opening cinematic for Tekken 7 and it doesn’t pull any punches (both literally and figuratively). The cinematic sees Kazuya and Heihachi, two series’ regulars, battling on top of a raging volcano. After several hard hitting exchanges, we get our first look at what’s arguably Kazuya’s Devil form. Check it out above.

Tekken 7 is being developed on Unreal Engine 4 and will be one of the first fighting games to boast that distinction. It will apparently be darker than previous series’ entries and focus purely on 1 vs. 1 battles. There will be some new mechanics to master as well such as Rage Art for powered up attacks when your health is critical and changes to the camera and movement.

Arriving in arcades in Japan on February 18th, information is still pending on Tekken 7’s release for consoles. Stay tuned for further announcements on the same and let us know what you think of the opening cinematic in the comments.

Lucario in all of his offscreen glory.

۞ by AGB-Media

It’s off screen, it’s grainy, but it still looks pretty damn good- Nintendo and Bandai Namco’s upcoming Pokken Tournament, which basically casts Pokemon characters into a 3D fighting game modeled after the uber hit Tekken series, has been announced for Japanese arcades for a while now, and with each new shred of information that is shared with us, the game continues to look better and better.

Now, we have on our hands here leaked footage from a location test of Pokken Tournament. It is very hard to hear anything over the din of the crowd, and the footage itself is offscreen, and not even very well recorded at that, but it gives us a pretty good idea of just how the game and its mechanics work- and personally speaking, they seem to work very well.

Only two things are now left- for Nintendo to officially announce the Wii U port of the game, and for them to confirm a western release. Let’s hope they get around to it some time soon.

Looks cool as heck.

Tekken 7 was announced a while ago, but we know surprisingly little about the seventh entry in Bandai Namco’s flagship fighting game series. Surprisingly, there has been very little in way of official media for the game that would throw some light upon it… until now.

We now have this great new trailer for Tekken 7, that tells us a lot. A lot. We get our first glimpse at the gameplay of the game, which should be a (welcome and) familiar sight to any fan of the series, and we get our first look at some combos, and just how flashy they look, as well as two newcoming characters-Katarina and Claudio.

Please note that this trailer is only for the arcade version of Tekken 7. Yes, arcade. Arcades are still a thing in Japan, and in fact are how all major fighting games are released first- they first release to arcades, and are then, after a few months, released to home consoles. It is safe to presume that an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and maybe even PC release, for Tekken 7 will be coming shortly.

Pokemon meets Tekken. Wat.

This is big. Bandai Namco and Nintendo announced today that they will be collaborating and working on a new game together in the Pokemon series, a brand new fighter- a fighter unlike Nintendo has ever had before. It’s called Pokken Fighters, and it’s a 3D fighter featuring Pokemon, that aims to be as technical as the excellent Tekken games.

So far, it has only been announced for an arcade release in Japan for 2015, although every single fighter (not called Smash Bros.) gets a release on arcades first, before the console release follows about six months later. The arcade release allows developers to get feedback en masse and re-tweak and re-balance the game as necessary.

Pokken Fighters is just one of the ‘Tekken’ projects that Namco Bandai is currently confirmed to be working on, out of a total of five. We know of two other projects, which are Tekken 7 and Tekken x Street Fighter. The other two Tekken related projects are unknown.
