The legendary Monte-Carlo location has been split into two stages: La Bollène-Vésubie, Col de Turini (18 km), and Sisteron (13 km).

Following the November 2025 Early Access release of Assetto Corsa Rally, developer Supernova Games Studios has continued its ongoing support for the title with the release of patch 0.3. The update brings with it quite a bit of new content, headlined by the Monte-Carlo stages. Described as the “last major step in the Assetto Corsa Rally Early Access program,” the update was released alongside a new trailer, which you can check out below.

The addition of the Monte-Carlo stages is a big deal, since the whole course was fully laser-scanned to ensure “uncompromising precision” across various aspects, including road geometry and the technical challenge that made the area famous in the sport. The in-game version will also tap into the real-world equivalent’s unpredictable weather, with snow, ice and dry asphalt all being represented. The whole location will be available in the form of two stages: the 18 km-long La Bollène-Vésubie, Col de Turini, and the 13 km-long Sisteron.

La Bollène-Vésubie, Col de Turini has been described as featuring “relentless” elevation changes, along with narrow passages and plenty of hairpin and off-camber corners. The stage is slated to challenge players’ mechanical prowess over Assetto Corsa Rally, especially when it comes to their throttle control and precision. Sisteron, on the other hand, features wide, smooth roads and long, open corners. The stage places an emphasis on high speed direction changes, paired with critical braking zones that have limited visibility.

Along with the stage itself, Assetto Corsa Rally now also has two iconic rally cars added to its roster—the FWD Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.6 HF Gr. 4, and the 4WD ŠKODA Fabia RS Rally2. The former is capable of 115-130+ horsepower thanks to its narrow-angle 1.6L V4 engine, and is known for winning the 1972 International Rally Championship and the Monte-Carly Rally. The latter is a modern Rally2-specced car with a 1.6L turbo engine capable of 289 horsepower, and is known for winning its debut competition at the 2022 Lausitz Rally.

As you might expect from an update featuring the Monte Carly stages, Assetto Corsa Rally now also has a dynamic snowy weather condition. The studio has described the possibility of a race starting out dry, that eventually gets snow involved as the player rises in altitude over the course of a stage. It is also worth noting that, rather than being limited to fixed areas, snowfall can happen anywhere on the Monte Carlo stages as long as the atmospheric conditions are met. This means that the temperatures have to fall below 0 degrees celsius, and it has to start raining.

Snow can have adverse effects on gameplay, especially in the form of decreased tarmac grip. These adverse effects can be minimized thanks to the addition of new winter and Snow tyre compounds, giving players more freedom in mixing and matching their tyres.

Bringing it all together, the update introduces 40 new AC Rally events to the game, along with bringing in a host of improvements and fixes across the board. For more comprehensive details, check out the full patch notes below.

In a keynote speech at SimRacing Expo 2025, KUNOS CEO Marco Massarutto spoke about the success and development of the franchise.

Developer KUNOS Simulazioni took to the stage during the recent SimRacing Expo 2025 to announce that its sim racing franchise, Assetto Corsa, collectively sold 20 million copies. As caught by Traxion, studio CEO Marco Massarutto confirmed that the sales figures have been taken into account from all the way back in 2013 when the first Assetto Corsa was released as an Early Access game.

“With the release of EVO last January, the Assetto Corsa franchise has reached over 20 million unique users. This is a great result,” Massarutto said at the event. “These numbers are amazing. If you think that Assetto Corsa is meant to be a realistic simulation, it’s intended to be for ‘niche’ users. But it’s not a niche anymore.”

“It’s not a result of great physics, visuals, sounds, gameplay and modding. It’s a combination of all these things together. But it’s especially the result of a beautiful relationship between a developer and the sim racing community. We created a relationship based on mutual trust that helped us to do what we do. We are developers. But before that, we are sim racers.”

This announcement comes on the heels of the recent announcement of rally racing sim Assetto Corsa Rally, which is slated for release on PC on November 13. The title is going to be an Early Access release, and will include ten licensed vehicles, as well a day/night cycle, and shifting weather, all of which can have heavy impacts on the driving conditions thanks to changes in visibility and traction.

At launch, among the 10 driveable vehicles in Assetto Corsa Rally will be the Lancia Stratos Gr.4 (1976), the Fiat 131 Abarth Gr.4 (1976) and the Peugeot 208 Rally4 (2020). Along with this, the title will also feature locations like Asace and Wales with 33 kilometers of “fully laser-scanned roads.” The title has been described as making use of the same physics engine as the highly-praised one from the original Assetto Corsa.

The company has noted major plans for the game, including 30 different cars, a full-fledged career mode, and more than 120 kilometers of realistically-recreated roads.

In the meantime, the company is also continuing its work on Assetto Corsa EVO, which was released in Early Access back in January. Massarutto had also spoken about the title at SimRacing Expo 2025, noting that the studio is still working hard to make sure that fans of the franchise get what they want from the title.

“As developers, we know the challenges of creating a simulation like Assetto Corsa,” he said. “But as sim racers, we know what we want to drive and play, and we never forget this. This is important because today is a great time to be a sim racer. Assetto Corsa Rally and EVO are the answer to what people want.”

“With EVO, during the early access programme, we are doing our very best to fit with the needs and feedback that we are receiving from the community. We are so amazed because thanks to EVO and the new Assetto Corsa Rally, the franchise is growing at a level we never imagined before.”

Featuring ten licensed rally cars and four Special Stages spanning 33 kilometers each, it promises a "pure" rally simulation.

While Assetto Corsa EVO remains in development, KUNOS Simulazioni has a new title in the series launching next month. Developed by Supernova Games Studios, Assetto Corsa Rally will arrive on November 13th for PC via Steam Early Access. Check out the first trailer below.

Touted as a “pure and relentless rally simulation,” Assetto Corsa Rally promises day/night cycles, shifting weather that impacts visibility and traction, and the same physics engine as Assetto Corsa. When early access begins, players can look forward to ten licensed vehicles, including the Lancia Stratos Gr.4 (1976), the Fiat 131 Abarth Gr.4 (1976) and the Peugeot 208 Rally4 (2020).

There will also be four “Special Stages” in locations such as Alsace and Wales, each consisting of 33 kilometers of “fully laser-scanned roads.” Realistic car noises and sound effects are a given, but Supernova’s co-driver system also offers “authentic voices and timing” courtesy of working with professional racers.

The plan is to include over 30 cars, Rally School, five international rallies, a Career Mode, and more than 120 kilometers of faithfully recreated roads. The goal is to remain in early access for less than 18 months, with pricing yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
