400 Battle Royale title gets a brand new trailer as official site goes live.

Automaton’s Mavericks: Proving Grounds is one of the more ambitious Battle Royale titles in development, featuring 400 players competing in an enormous world for survival. The newest trailer at the PC Gaming Show 2018 showcases some of the action, and it looks pretty fast-paced. Check it out below.

As you’ll notice, it’s possible to encounter wildfire in the forest while battling other enemies. That wildfire can spread and the world itself as described as “living and breathing”. Wildlife will react to your presence and depending on how players react with the environment, you’ll be able to track them down more effectively.

Mavericks: Proving Grounds won’t just have 400 players – there are plans to have 1000 players in five man squads across a 16×16 km map. Suffice to say, despite MMO plans, the Battle Royale part will be the most intriguing aspect. The official site for the game is now live and closed beta events are planned for Summer 2018. Head on over and sign up today.
