Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC Released: Never Sleep Again

Isaac Clarke may be many things but lucky he is not. After surviving the horrors of a friggin’ moon colliding into Tau Volantis in Dead Space 3, Clarke and John Carver must now team up in the new Awakened DLC to get to the Terra Nova, repair and return to Earth before the horrors of the planet threaten to consume them.

Available now, Awakened will see a return to the unsettling psychological horror that characterized the first two games.

Vice President and General Manager of Visceral Games and Executive Producer on Dead Space 3 Steve Papoutsis stated that, “Dead Space 3 Awakened is some of the most creative and unsettling content the team has ever created — it’s really going to test gamers’ psyche.

“We’ve put Isaac and now Carver through a lot in the franchise, but these seasoned vets are experts when it comes to taking down the terror. We can’t wait to see who is brave enough to venture further into the horrors that lie within Awakened.”

The DLC is available now for £7.99/800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, PSN and Origin.

Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC Trailer and Screenshots: Ghosts of Tau Volantis

Visceral Games has revealed a new trailer and screenshots for Dead Space 3’s upcoming Awakened DLC pack that will be available for Xbox Live, PSN and Origin this month. The pack will retail for $10, and according to Visceral, will have the “most disturbing content [players] have ever seen in a Dead Space game.”

This appears to be the case, as the hallucinations, ritualistic sacrifices and nightmarish creatures have seemingly returned. Awakened will take place after the events of the main game, showcasing Isaac Clarke and John Carver trying to escape the nightmarish expanse of Tau Volantis in the face of adversity.

Fortunately, there will be plenty of parts to help them take on the Necromorphs as they make their escape off world. The question remains as to the murders and enemies that seemingly take no damage and evoke comparisons to Pyramid Head.

Awakened Trailer Shows Just How Much This Game Needs To Be Published

Ever hear of a game call ‘Awakened’? No? Well it doesn’t surprise me as the game has no publisher currently and is a super hero game that is in serious need of a publisher as well as some promotion. This game was also originally called ‘Hero’ while under the wing of Midway, but things have now changed including the title. The trailer below features tons of gameplay and the game quite frankly looks fucking awesome from what you can see. ‘Awakened’ is being developed by Phosphor Games, but was originally a Midway project and has customization, plenty of abilities so hype this bad boy up as I would hate to see an amazing piece of work go down the tube. Check out the trailer and enjoy as you won’t find much info on this title. The first trailer featuring the music from Sigur Ros includes more gameplay and can be viewed here.
