We are one day away from the DC FanDome event that will see announcements, panels, trailers and more regarding various adaptations of DC properties. It’s there that we will finally see the next Batman game that has been teased for what feels like forever by WB Games Montreal. In the meantime, they have given a very small teaser to wet your appetite.

If you’ve been following, there’s been something of a pseudo-ARG going on with the game, which internet detectives have been following, with one piece of information pointing to Batgirl as a potential character in the game. Now, the last teaser has been uncovered on the r3dak3d YouTube, which you can see below. It’s only 16 seconds long and only shows a piece of what one assumes to be Gotham (the game in question is rumored to be subtitled Gotham Knights).

The game has long been teased by the company, which has also come after several projects the company was working on was seemingly scrapped. We’ll see what this thing looks like tomorrow at DC FanDome.

WB Games Montreal have made an art form out of teasing their next game, which almost everyone knows even in the absence of an official announcement is going to be a new Batman game, likely titled Gotham Knights. That announcement though, is finally coming soon on August 22, ahead of which a teaser website for the game (r3dakt3d.com) recently went live.

Recently on Reddit, a user figured out all the codes that are meant to tease more new content on the website in the days leading up to launch. These codes are 761, 941, 364, and 995. And of course, they have to mean something, right? They just might.

Over on Twitter, @ArkhamVideos managed to figure out that all four codes put together get the EAN number for issue 359 of Detective Comics, which is the issue that the Batgirl character made her debut in. This is significant not only because WB Games Montreal were the developers of Arkham Knight’s Batgirl DLC, but also because leaks have mentioned multiple times that their upcoming Batman game will feature Batgirl and other members of the Batfamily as playable characters.

Additionally, the cover of the aforementioned issue also bears a striking resemblance to issue #43 of Batman: Gotham Knights. That, of course, is the WB Games Montreal’s title’s name, according to leaks. A lot of dots to connect, but it doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

Meanwhile, recent leaks have also said that the game will feature a system similar to Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War’s Nemesis system, as well as multiple factions. Read more on that through here.

DC FanDome is just a few days away and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is confirmed for reveal. Another title that was confirmed was WB Games Montreal’s next, which is interesting given how long ago the developer was teasing the game. It’s since released another teaser, this one more cryptic than the others.

Along with a GIF on Twitter, a new website called r3dakt3d.com was launched and it seems that fans will play some role in uncovering its mysteries. According to Jordan Oloman on Twitter, the website’s code indicates different radio numbers for “unlocking” the website. This seems to point to a trailer reveal on August 21st.

It’s not a bad strategy to tease the game before officially unveiling it on August 22nd at DC FanDome. Reports indicate that it’s called Batman: Gotham Knights and that, along with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it will be coming to Xbox Series X and PS5. WB Games Montreal’s upcoming Batman title has to be one of the most heavily leaked games in recent memory. On top of relentless teases by the developers themselves, various insiders and leakers have also spoken about plenty of details on the game. Over on Twitter, @TheComixKid has actively been doing the same for some time now, and recently, he shared some more information on the game.

According to him, the upcoming Batman game will have multiple members of the Bat-family playable (which is something that earlier reports have said as well), and will also have a Nemesis system similar to Shadow of Mordor and its sequel. There will be multiple factions in the game, with GCPD – who are also apparently hunting Batman – being one of them. The main antagonists will be the Court of Owls though (which is one of the most commonly leaked details from the game), while the story will have connections to previous Arkham titles.

There being multiple factions in the game is something that WB Games Montreal’s teases have potentially hinted at, while GCPD being one of them falls in line with the whole “Capture the Knight” motif- perhaps the Court of Owls are controlling these factions from the shadows. Additionally, the Bat-family being playable isn’t only something that’s been leaked before, but also something that makes sense in context of what is almost certainly the game’s name- Gotham Knights.

Of course, this is unverified information, so take this with a grain of salt for now. A recent report said that Gotham Knights (and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game) will be revealed in August. Stay tuned for more details.

Reports of the upcoming games from Rocksteady and WB Games Montreal have been gathering steam of late. The former has been rumoured to be working on a live service Suicide Squad title, while the latter has been relentlessly teasing a new Court of Owls-based Batman game for a long time. Over the last couple of days, WB Games have registered domain names for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights, lending even more credence to those reports.

Now, a new report by Eurogamer gives even more weights to the leaks, confirming that the domain registrations are for games that are not far away from reveals. The report states that Rocksteady are indeed developing a Suicide Squad game that will very likely be called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, saying that the title captures the premise of the game pretty neatly. Meanwhile, the report also mentions that Gotham Knights is indeed WB Games Montreal’s upcoming Batman game.

Both games are allegedly going to be revealed at the DC FanDome event in August. We will be shown “a little” of Gotham Knights, and “very little” of Suicide Squad, with the latter apparently being a ways off from launch. Both are also reportedly in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

As with all leaks, don’t take this as confirmation just yet- but there’s been too much smoke of late, and the pices are all certainly fitting together. Either way, August isn’t that far away, so we’ll know one way or another rather soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
