On top of revealing that multiple Diablo projects are in development and announcing Diablo 3: Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch, Blizzard Entertainment has outlined its schedule for Gamescom 2018. You can expect to hear more about franchises like Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo, and more on August 22nd starting from 10:30 AM CEST/1:30 AM PT.

The schedule below is as follows:

• 10:30 AM CEST/1:30 AM PT – Opening
• 11:15 AM CEST/2:15 AM PT – Overwatch
• 12:30 PM CEST/3:30 AM PT – World of Warcraft
• 1:15 PM CEST/4:15 AM PT – StarCraft
• 2:30 PM CEST/5:30 AM PT – Heroes of the Storm
• 3:45 PM CEST/6:45 AM PT – Diablo

The presentation will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch, so keep an eye out at the above times for more details. A “Blizzard at Gamescom” show will be hosted every day until August 25th as well, so additional information (or recaps) could possibly be offered.

Along with a showcase for Diablo 3: Eternal Collection, we’ll probably see a new short for Overwatch (along with a possible new map) like last year. World of Warcraft just released its latest major expansion Battle for Azeroth, so look for more information on the upcoming raid in September. What could Blizzard have in store for its other franchises? Gamescom 2018 will take place from August 21st till August 25th, so it won’t be long till we find out.

The newest expansion for World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, is finally live. Whether it delivers on months of anticipation and story-telling (especially given some of the more controversial twists as of late) remains to be seen. But it’s new World of Warcraft content, the game is back on top of the Twitch directory, and all is right with the world.

Well, almost- launch issues impede some players from logging in or fully enjoying the game. Blizzard Customer Support has been dealing with the numerous issues cropping up, including failed or slow login attempts, and players not receiving the Heart of Azeroth (a core component of the new expansion). Expect more updates, especially as the development team makes progress on the login issues.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth launches with an increased level cap to 120, new Allied races, Warfronts for 20 player PvE action, new Island Expeditions for three-player groups, and much more. If you’ve always wanted to get into World of Warcraft but didn’t – among other things – have the money for the Battle Chest, you’re in luck. Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft and the expansions included in the Battle Chest (The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm) will now be included with the regular WoW subscription.

Paying $14.99 per month will now grant access to all of this content, and to make the deal sweeter, the most recent expansion Legion is also included. As per the official WoW blog, “The Battle for Azeroth pre-patch is here, and with this update, we’re making some exciting changes to the way players access World of Warcraft.

“Starting today, new players can gain access to all World of Warcraft content up through and including the Legion expansion simply by becoming a subscriber—you no longer need to purchase the original World of Warcraft base game.”

At last year’s BlizzCon, Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Classic, the much-awaited vanilla version of the MMORPG that fans have been clamouring for. How the current subscription model will affect WoW Classic remains to be seen. It’s possible that Blizzard made this move to ensure a smoother experience for anyone picking up World of Warcraft for the first time.

If the past doesn’t interest you, then it may be worth looking at Battle of Azeroth, World of Warcraft’s next big expansion that will be available on August 14th for $49.99.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft’s next big expansion Battle for Azeroth will be releasing on August 14th. Along with new races to select and increased level cap, there will be heaps of new content like Warfronts, Island Expeditions and new regions to explore.

The developer has also revealed the game’s physical Collector’s Edition which include Elegy & A Good War, a novella detailing events from both the Alliance and Horde perspectives before the war (with original artwork); the official soundtrack; and a Mark of Allegiance Faction Coin along with the base game.

As for content, players will have a level cap of 120, new allied races like the Horde’s Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren along with the Alliance’s Void Elves, Dark Iron Dwarves and Lightforged Draenei. The new Warfronts act as 20 player PvE content which harken back to the old days of Warcraft RTS games. Then there are the Island Expeditions which sees groups of three players tackling “dynamic” challenges against either groups of AIs or real players.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft’s next big expansion Battle for Azeroth will be releasing this Summer. Pre-sales are currently open and if you happen to pre-purchase the expansion, then one of the four new Allied Races will be available to play. The standard version is for $50 while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $70.

Furthermore, you can redeem the level 110 character boost immediately upon pre-purchasing the expansion. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes items like the Seabraid Stallion and Gilded Ravasaur mounts (for Alliance and Horde respectively), and a baby Tortollan pet. If you play other Blizzard game, you’ll receive bonuses for them as well.

For example, Overwatch players will receive Horde and Alliance voice lines for Torbjorn, emotes for Tracer, player icons for Kul Tiras and Zandalar and sprays with artwork for Anduin, Sylvanas, Jaina, and Varok Saurfang artwork. Check out the full list of bonuses here

There will also be a Collector’s Edition for the expansion with an “assortment of loot” along with everything else. Expect more specific details and pricing later.
