Drill to the Heavens! Big Sky Infinity Now Available for Playstation Network

Where do you go from Really Big Sky? Of course, towards Big Sky Infinity, Boss Baddie & VooFoo’s newest twin-stick shooter where you control an unstoppable drilling machine. The sequel is finally available for Playstation Network, which meaas you’ll be able to play it on both Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. Big Sky Infinity features 4 player local multiplayer and Cloud synchronization to go with the randomized gameplay. Check out the launch trailer below.

Big Sky Infinity is available for £7.99 in the UK, €9.99 in the EU and $9.99 in the US. Of course, because they’re so much better than the rest of us, European PlayStation Plus members will receive the game for free for a limited time from December 12th 2012. Even more interestingly, Big Sky Infinity is one of the first titles to be a part of the Cross-Buy initiative, wherein you purchase the game on, say, PS3 and get it absolutely free on PS Vita (and vice versa).

Big Sky Infinity is currently available in both the US and EU.

Ripstone Announces 3 New Titles for Playstation Plus Presents

Newly formed game publisher Ripstone has recently announced three new titles in collaboration with Sony Computer Entertainment, as part of the PlayStation Plus Presents service.

The games include: Knytt Underground, Big Sky Infinity and an unannounced title. The best part aout the European-exclusive Playstation Plus Presents is that all of these titles can be downloaded for no cost 8 weeks after launch.

Knytt Underground is an interesting platforming experience in tune with the series. Big Sky Infinity is the sequel to Really Big Sky, and features platforming amongst a procedurally generated content system. Both are due for release on the PS3 and Vita.

Creative director and co-founder of Ripstone Phil Gaskell stated, “This is an extremely important partnership for Ripstone, and positions our indie titles and the extremely talented developers behind them as being some of the best in Europe.”
