The downloadable arcade game for the PC/Xbox 360 which is a FPS with lots of customization has been patched again. Here are the changes:

Changes:
• Reset player’s trial timer. Trial timer is now set to 20 minutes for both players who have already
used up their trial timer, as well as new users downloading the trial for the first time.
• PC version will support Steam achievements
• Added a new controller layout: Standard 2, which swaps the crouch and melee button mappings
• Added a watermark version number to the title screen.
• Increased intermission time from one minute to roughly 1 minute 45 seconds to allow for more
players to join a match once the required amount of players is met.
• Increased the additional player search time when searching for a quick match from 12 to 15
seconds.
• Intermissions now show the time remaining on screen when timers are active in order to better
communicate how much time is left in an intermission.
• Modified the Find Games search dialog box to provide more informative information. It now
describes where the player is in the search process (searching, succeeded, choosing best game
and joining).
• Added the ability to switch teams in private match. This is done with a button press when
viewing the player list.
• Made player names colored based on team in the kill list.
• Increased spawn invincibility armor by 50% from 2 seconds to 3 seconds.
• Dropped spawn turret damage by 50%.
• Reduced the shotgun’s maximum range by 36%. It now linearly drops off damage faster over a
shorter distance.
• Decreased the grenade bounciness by 10%.
• Decreased the round time from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.
• Viewpoints are now chosen at random when switching to spectate mode. Players will then cycle
through all available cameras while in this mode.
• Quick Match games now cycle from map to map based on what the players in the current match
have recently played. Thus, players should not repeat maps when staying in the same match.
• Increased the amount of XP earned for completing a match to 500.
• Increased the amount of XP earned for winning a match to 250. Winners will also get the 500
for completion as well.
• Increased the LMG’s damage by 10% and decreased its spread by 20%.

Fixes:
• Fixed a bug where after a host migration in Domination, control points would sometimes show
up as dark gray rather than the color of the team they are controlled by.
• Fixed an issue that was causing sprint to not function when using a South Paw controller
configuration.
• Fixed the match making issues that caused quick match “Find Games” to take extremely long.
Previously players would sit at “Searching for Games” for a very long time before possibly
finding a game. No longer should this happen.
• Added a recent bad host black list. Players will no longer attempt to join stale games.
• Fixed the issue that allowed players to join a game after the intermission had ended, but before
the game had begun. Previously players were joining the game after intermission, and then
being kicked from the game when the match began and as players registered for stat arbitration.
• Fixed an issue where the 9mm spawn in effect was not appearing correctly in some cases.
• Fixed an issue where Quick Match games would change game types when a host migration
occurred when the new host had been invited from a match playing a different game type.
• Fix for the Quick Match menu game mode filter not being saved to what it was previously after
backing out of an intermission.
• Fixed an issue where players could occasionally get stuck cooking a grenade and be unable to
throw it.
• Fixed an issue where meleeing while you were cooking a grenade would cause the cooking timer
to reset.
• Players can no longer melee or switch weapons while cooking a grenade.
• Fix for an issue where the game would occasionally not end after a host migration, forcing
players to quit manually.
• Fixed an issue where control points would sometimes become unhackable by opponents when
they should have been hackable.
• Fixed an issue with unplugging controllers at the title screen could cause the game to soft?lock.
• Fixed an issue where semi?automatic weapons could be fired as if they were automatic weapons.
• Fix for the incorrect error message being displayed when pulling out the network cable while in
a loading screen.
• Fix for connection issues being properly and more robustly handled.
• Fix for errors that occur during host migration potentially showing up in English when playing in
a language other than English.
• Fixed an issue where weapon attachments that were set to “none” were not actually being set
to none, but instead were using information from the previous attachment in that slot. This will
make it so the revolver will not inherit increased magazine loads from other weapons.
• Fix for an issue where in rare instances users were not able to hack the first server in Burial
Ground.
• Fix for exploit where users were able to fire their gun while in HRV.
• Fixed an issue where camo names were inconsistent between character camos and weapon
camos.
• Fixed an issue which caused HRV to be functional when flashbanged. Users were able to get
flashed and then switch to HRV to be able to see.
• Fixed an issue in Black Ops where players would be forever stuck in the Lobby if a player joined
and then left.
• Fix for a rare issue where loadouts would occasionally not be set properly after playing a match.
• Fixed an issue such that players can no longer be flashbanged when under spawn invincibility.
• Fix for an issue where some players were reporting that they were unable to acquire the
Gearhead achievement, despite having ranked to 70. We now have a safeguard that ensures a
player gets the achievement when they earn it.
• Fixed for multi?kill not functioning properly. It was not properly adding the right amount of time
to allow players to get the next kill. Players should now have 2?3 seconds between kills to
where they will continue to count as a multi?kill.
• Fixed an issue that caused footsteps of others to not be heard by players.

BlackLight: Tango Down, the fast paced, action-oriented DLG which launched on XBLA, and PC that is also coming soon to PSN, has become a huge success. To help the fans and gamers become the best of the best in future warfare, Ignition Entertainment has put together a list of FAQs to ensure that every gamer is able to maximize their success on the summer’s hottest shooter.

Blacklight: Tango Down is a first person shooter that is set in the near future. The Blacklight Team is sent in to attack The Order’s headquarters to find the missing Colonel Klein and his Blacklight team in the city of Balik. Balik, which is covered in Russian signs and in game advertisements, has broken out in war after the rebel group ‘The Order’ assassinated the president and presumably captured Colonel Klein and his team. Once your team arrives to get the job done, command informs you that civilians have been infected with an unknown virus, causing them to attack both The Order and the Blacklight Tango team.

The game is mainly based around its multiplayer. There are four missions that can be played by yourself or co-op with three other people. They are fun missions but nothing really super amazing about them. Your basic kill spawning enemies while you occasionally hack a terminal to progress through the mission. You can also gain experience to level up during these missions.

Multiplayer in Blacklight: Tango Down is really where the fun is. Most people are probably saying to themselves, do we really need another FPS. The answer is yes when it comes to Blacklight. First off this is a downloadable arcade game that you can purchase for $15.00 on Xbox Live, Playstation 3 or the PC. It is hard to tell this is a downloadable arcade game at times with the graphics being so good. The mechanics of the gameplay are very familiar and easy to jump right into. Everything flows very smoothly with enemies only taking a few bullets to take them down online.

The customization in the multiplayer is nearly endless. As you rank up you will gain new weapons, weapon parts, scopes and some of the scopes are rather ‘near future’ looking which is cool. You can unlock grips, armor, armor camo and each weapon will let you put a custom tag on it. These tags are little trinkets that hang off the side of your weapon, but are not just for show. As you level up you will unlock tags that when equipped to a weapons can either give you more health, more damage or more speed. The customization as you level up keeps going with 100 tags that you can unlock and much more.

One of the biggest highlights about the game in my opinion is that this is a straight forward first person shooter, with no added perks, vehicles or killstreak rewards, just gun fights. It is a nice change of pace from todays common shooters with out any over powered weapons. At a low level you will have a slight disadvantage to higher level player as they will have more efficient ways of killing you and staying alive longer, but that is all the more reason to get to playing and rank up as quick as you can. You can also rank up in the single player/co-op missions as well if you get discouraged playing online as a low level. A down side of the game is that there is no party system to play with your friends although if you invite them into a lobby, odds are they will be on your team.. strange and worthy of an update.

Blacklight: Tango Down brings even more longevity to the game with a ton of different online modes to keep you busy or just find you favorite one and stick to it. Here are your choices when it comes to multiplayer modes:

Deathmatch – Free for All

Team Deathmatch – Duh?

Retrieval – Each team defends their own data canister. Your objective is to steal the enemy canister and take it to your base. You can’t score though if your teams canister is in the hands of the enemy. Capture the Flag type game mode.

Detonate – A neutral bomb in the center of the map must be obtained by your team and the planted only to then defend it until it goes off.

Domination – Their are a number of control points that your team must capture. You can either capture them by standing in their radius until it is controlled by your team or you can hack it which is like a quick time simon says style event.

Last Man Standing – Free for all with no respawns.

Last Team Standing – Team Deathmatch with no respawns.

Overall the game is great especially considering the price of $15. The only down side of the game is it takes a little while to get used to how to customize you loadouts and such. Some games can rarely be laggy, but that usually only lasts for a moment because the game then host migrates which is again above and beyond as far as arcade games go. Blacklight: Tango Down also seems like it would be likely to have DLC in the future depending on how well it does but as far as right now this game is kind of an under the radar killer game that you should check out, especially if you are an FPS fan. Worth the buy yes. Don’t believe me; play the timed trial which lets you play anything in the game for 60 minutes.

This game was reviewed on the Xbox 360.

Ignition Entertainment has just released a whole new video showcasing the Hyper Reality Visor, which detects nearby cell phone towers and satellites to identify enemy positions, which you can view even when taking cover behind a wall.

The HRV also shows you where your next objectives are, or even show you where you can find nearby ammo or health stations.

As much as awesome as it sounds, everything has its limits, because once the HRV is activated, you can’t shoot your weapons.
