Utilizing a monochromatic, hand-drawn art style, Blanc follows a wolf cub and fawn in the wilderness. As they attempt to reunite with their families through the freezing winter, they go from unlikely allies to friends. The story is told without text, and players must rely on each animal’s strengths to bypass obstacles. There are only two buttons to use, further streamlining the gameplay.

Co-op support means that two players can control the wolf cub or fawn and work together to succeed. Along with local play on the same screen, there’s also online co-op support. Each character has its unique traits that can help in different situations. The wolf cub can squeeze into tight spaces while the fawn can jump higher and reach out-of-the-way spots. Using the abilities in unison and working together is the key to progress. And it bears mentioning again that the overall aesthetic and visuals are simply incredible.
