Aksys Games has announced that BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, the next follow-up in the slick 2D fighter franchise, finally has a home console release date. It will be arriving on the March 25th 2014 for the PlayStation 3, and you can now pre-order either the standard or Limited Edition.

The story sees Ragna on a mission to find and kill Yuki Terumi, and will see both new and old characters inserted into the mix. While there will be five new characters, you can also expect older fighters to be rebalanced and feature new moves. Overall, Aksys promises 30 hours in the Store Mode along with additional modes such as Arcade, Unlimtied Mars, Survival and multiplayer.

The Limited Edition will include a DLC code for character Yuki Terumi, a full colour art book, an official soundtrack CD, a “Truly Exclusive” special features Blu-ray featuring interviews from creator Toshimichi Mori and much more. First run standard edition copies will also come with the aforementioned DLC code, so you’ll need to pre-order quick.

Get both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift for just £19.99 (or £16.99 for PS+ peeps).

Arc System Works’ BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend just got a groovy limited price cut for the Playstation Vita and is available for £19.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers get an additional discount and can pick up the title for £16.99.

What do you get with BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend? To start off with, Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift are both packaged, for double the experience. This includes 19 fighters, each with their own stories. But really, it’s the combat system that will draw people in, especially with the Drive function that gives characters differing powers to use.

Of course, there’s a wide range of tutorials and challenges to help players build up their skills. This, along, with RPG/Survival, Abyss, Unlimited Mars and more for a total of 12 game modes means you’ll be busy with this for a while.

Keep in mind though: The price reduction isn’t permanent and expires October 3rd 2012.
