F Re based on video game properties rarely every do well, but the same isn’t necessarily true the other way around. There have been a few film franchises that have made the jump to video games and done very well for themselves, and James Bond is definitely one of them. It hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows, of course- there have been a few bad 007 games, sure. But there have also been plenty of really, really good ones.

In this feature, we’ll be listing out what we feel are the best 007 games of all time, starting off with #10, and counting right down to the top spot. Without further ado then, let’s jump in.

#8. TOMORROW NEVER DIES

Being the first 007 game made by EA after they acquired the license, as well as the first 007 game to be released after the incredible GoldenEye 007, Tomorrow Never Dies had a great deal to live up to. Did it do that? Well, no, not entirely. But viewed in isolation, it was a pretty fun game. Featuring some solid third person action and what was, at the time, a great realization of the film it was based on, Tomorrow Never Dies was a game that one could get plenty of enjoyment out of. Sure, it wasn’t a very meaty experience (to say the least), and sure, it hasn’t aged all that well, but for its time, it was a decent enough game.

Hirshberg: GoldenEye 007 Is Outselling Modern Warfare On The Wii

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, has said during a call to investors that GoldenEye is outselling Modern Warfare on the Wii.

GoldenEye was only out for “a few days, but it’s already out selling last year’s Modern Warfare as Wii SKU for the comparable period.”

Hirshberg also mentioned that James Bond: Blood Stone “combines fighting, shooting and driving into one game”.

GoldenEye 007 was released on November 2, and James Bond: Blood Stone releases today for the 360, PS3, PC and DS.

Black Ops Fan Base “a smaller percentage of the broad audience who like Bond”

Peter Collier, part of the development team of Blood Stone, says Blood Stone’s sales will not be eaten up by Black Ops’ sales this Holidays, thanks to the wider audience that James Bond has. “If I were working on another game, or if I were releasing a new IP, I would be worried.

“But because Bond has such a broad appeal and such an aspirational feel about it, fans are certain to buy it,” said Collier.

“We may miss out on the hardcore consumers that will go for Black Ops, but that’s a smaller percentage of the broad audience who like Bond.”

James Bond: Blood Stone Combat Trailer = Freaking Awesome

The all new combat trailer released for Activision’s upcoming 007 title for the PS3, 360 and the PC, James Bond: Blood Stone is… BLOODY AWESOME, YEAH BABY! Oh, yes, the game bears a lot of likenesses to Treyarch’s Quantum of Solace (which, I admit, I liked), but the conbat looks so cinematic and fun, an the visuals… they’re looking great.

I just hope the game has mind blowing driving sections, that would make this a perfect package. Oh well, let’s the wait and watch.
