While most of the trailer features the same footage we’ve seen before, including various members of the Cobra Unit and even the Shagohod and primary antagonist Volgin, it ends with the words “Snake vs ???” against a silhouette of Bomberman. Xbox Series X/S players will feature the new game mode, while PC players will get access to Snake vs Monkey.

“The special game ‘Snake vs Monkey’ to capture the Pipo Monkeys is back for PS5 and Steam,” Konami posted in the description for the Xbox version of the trailer. “A different special game will be implemented for the Xbox version! Please wait for further details.”

As the trailer revealed, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 28. Interestingly, the trailer was leaked earlier this month, well before it would be shown officially during Sony’s State of Play event earlier this week. Among the things we got to see in the trailer are returning fan-favourite boss encounters, including The End.

Konami has also recently updated the Steam store listing for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, revealing the minimum and recommended PC specs for playing the game. At bare minimum, PC players will need either an Intel i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super GPU, along with 16 GB of RAM. Various editions of the game were also detailed by Konami; there are four editions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater available for pre-order, with two each being for physical and digital copies. Check out the details here.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a ground-up remake of seminal PS2 stealth action title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The story involves protagonist Naked Snake having to travel through the lush rainforests of Soviet Russia in order to take down the Cobra Unit and Volgin. There are plenty of twists and turns along the way, as well as a healthy serving of the melodrama that fans of the Metal Gear franchise appreciate.

A trailer from back in November gave us a good look at how Metal Gear Solid Delta will be upgrading the visuals over the original PS2 version of the game. It also revealed that EVA will be voiced by Jodi Bensen, who will be joining Lori Alan reprising her role as The Boss. Check out the recently-released screenshots for a better look at the title.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is also rumoured to be in development for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Mediatonic’s chaotic battle royale title Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, is enjoying its season 4.5 update, and going as strong as ever. And as is the case with any popular multiplayer title, that success has led to all sorts of collaborations and crossovers, with the likes of DOOM, Cuphead, Shovel Knight, and even Tron having shown up in the game as skins and costumes. It’s next collaboration also seems to be around the corner, and it’s going to be an interesting one.

The official Fall Guys Twitter account recently took to Twitter to tease an “explosive” collaboration that’s coming soon that’s going to “blow your mind.” The tweet was accompanied by an image showing a very familiar silhouette. Shortly afterward, the official Konami Twitter page responded to the tweet with a cheeky message marveling at how quickly the tease “blew up.”

So what does all of that mean? Well, simply put, it’s Bomberman. Watch out for an official announcement soon.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on PS4 and PC, and will be launching later this year for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

With the exception of the Pro Evolution Soccer series and a few other odd unremarkable releases here and there, Konami have little interest in the games industry anymore. Given their catalog of franchises such as Metal Gear, Castlevania, and Silent Hill, that’s a real shame. Well, we won’t be getting revivals of those anytime in the imminent future, but Konami does seem to have something in the works for another one of its properties.

Speaking in a recent interview with Famitsu (translated by Gematsu), Konami’s Noriaki Okamura said that the company will be making an announcement related to Bomberman soon. “There are also plans for a new announcement concerning Bomberman soon,” he said. “Please look forward to it.”

Between a remaster or a port, a new mobile (or pachinko) release, or a full-fledged new game, this could be anything. That said, given how largely inactive Bomberman has been over the past decade (with some exceptions), the latter seems a little unlikely- though not impossible.
