E-Xpress Software has announced that Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition is now available in India at Rs. 1499 for PlayStation 3 and Rs. 499 for the PC.

The Game of the Year Edition packs in a smattering of content, including the original game; Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty; Mr Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage; Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt; the recently released Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep; and the Creature Slaughter Dome DLC. Of course, you’ll also have access to Premium Club content such as Gaige the Mechromancer and Krieg the Psycho along with the Golden Key, Gearbox Gun Pack, Vault Hunter’s Relic, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1 and Collector’s Edition Heads and Skins.

That’s a whole lotta bang for one’s buck, and that’s not counting the original game’s campaign which will easily last you a good 40 to 50 hours. Check out our official review for the PC version here to learn more.

The DLC packages for Gearbox Software’s awesomely awesome Borderlands 2 are still coming, even though a Season Pass isn’t necessarily on the cards. But according to GameStop, which recently spoke to IGN, Borderlands 2 will be seeing a Game of the Year Edition. A release date is still pending, of course, but perhaps some time in September to commemorate the one year anniversary of Borderlands 2?

Regardless, the Game of the Year Edition will include the original game along with all the DLC release till now, which includes: Captain Scarlet’s And Her Pirate’s Booty, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, Mister Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage, Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade, Mechromancer Pack, Creature Slaughter Dome and the
Psycho Pack.

According to Steam database it seems that Gearbox is going to be releasing a Game of The Year Edition for Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2: Game of The Year Edition contains all of the main downloadable content including expansions like Tiny’s Tina Assault on Dragon Keep, Mr. Tongue’s Game Hunt and Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty. The Game of The Year Edition even has all of the character downloadable packs such as Psycho Pack and Mechromancer pack.

To be honest, this wouldn’t be a big surprise due to the fact that it’s common for games that have a ton of downloadable content to release special editions that include all of the content previously released with a single price-tag. For example, the Skyrim Legendary Edition has all of the downloadable expansions that were released throughout the life-span of the game.
