Over the past few years we have all witnessed some pretty crazy multiplayer action, where different players would perform some insane kill streaks; and of course there is nothing more fulfilling in a Call of Duty match than achieving some awesome kill streaks and then going to work on your opponents. As you would expect, as the Call of Duty series continues to grow and evolve so will the kill streaks. And you can bet your bottom there are tons of more lethal kill streaks to come in the future.
The Warbird is probably the most valuable ally you could have in the battlefield. I mean think about it, the Warbird scouts around for potential target and when found, it takes them out with extreme efficiency. The Warbird remotely controlled has the ability to perform an aerial attack vehicle with an awesome minigun. Moreover, you can retrofit your Warbird by adding rockets to it. And if you don’t want the hassle of controlling the warbird manually, you have the option of making it AI controlled so that it will automatically engage enemies around the map.

Every gamer wants a proper closure to the game they just invested hours into. Some games give awesome closures and great endings. But every now and then there are endings that are quite terrible and offer no conclusion whatsoever, and leaves the gamer frustrated just because the ending was horrible. We have compiled this list of worst endings in video games, but beware, some games included in this list are awesome, but the ending really didn’t make sense. As expected some of you may disagree but sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below.

I expected the game to handle the options we make more effectively and I thought the choices you made throughout the game would affect the outcome of the games’ end. But instead we have an ending where the choice we made at the end would affect the whole game. The conclusion left everything in a grey area, and nothing was shown that tied up any loose ends.

Valve boss Gabe Newell has apologized to over 12,000 Steam account holders after they were mistakenly banned for playing Modern Warfare 2 for using anti-cheating software. It has been reported that Gabe Newell sent out emails to all the affected account holders explaining them the situation. And so how does Valve make up for all this? They will be giving free copies of Left 4 Dead 2 to all those who got affected plus freebies that they can share with their friends.

Gabe Newell said, “The problem was that Steam would fail a signature check between the disk version of a DLL and a latent memory version, This was caused by a combination of conditions occurring while Steam was updating the disk image of a game.”

We all know that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be a great game. One of our editors will have the review of the game pretty soon. Any case the original set new standards in the first person shooter genre and the sequel has a tough task ahead. Here we analyze some of the issues we had in the first game and unfortunately we might see them in the sequel as well.

Length of Single Player Campaign

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had some of the best single player campaigns in first person shooters. Some of the action easily rivalled Hollywood and specially the ending sequences were crazy. But the only thing that really bugged me was the length of single player campaign. I finished the game in about 6 hours and was left wanting for more. Unfortunately the length in the sequel won’t be too long as the developers have already confirmed that it won’t be lengthier than the first one.

Co-Op and Full Campaign Mode

One of the biggest issues which I found with the original was that it did not featured a Co-op mode online and neither a an online campaign mode. And again we all know that this will be the case with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 as well. This is kind of disappointing since the game strength lies in the multiplayer component and Co-Op and Full Campaign Mode should have been included.

Gears of War Effect

We all know how Xbox owners loved the online multiplayer modes of Gears of War. The major reason was its simplicity. It easily became one of the most played games on Xbox LIVE. Now EPIC tried a lot of variations in Gears of War 2. As a result they made things complicated which ended up in a pretty complex and unpopular multiplayer component of the game. Will the same phenomenon affect Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2? We have to wait and see.

Old Engine

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare looked amazing as a 2007 game. I believe no other game close to what the game offered visually than. Two years later we have games like Killzone 2 already setting a very high standards graphics wise. We all know the sequel will be using an updated engine of the original engine, so Killzone 2 quality type of graphics might not be achievable.

What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below. Also check back with us very soon for a full review of the game.

We take a look at Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and tell fans what to expect from this highly anticipated title.

In 2007 Infinity Ward outperformed themselves to produce a stellar of a game that won;t only excel at single player component but will also set a new benchmark in online multiplayer arena. Yes we are talking about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare set new standards not only in the first person shooter genre but also according to many critics in video games as well. Through this preview we will be writing a lot about what to expect from Modern Warfare 2. It seemed quite obvious that Activision had to make a sequel after all the first game sold over ten million copies. So where does the sequel fit in? Modern warfare 2 takes place several years later after the original and you will be playing the role of Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson. In an interview with Robert Bowling the community manager of the game it was revealed that all the loose ends of the the original will be tied up in Modern Warfare 2. The story picks up just around when the original ended where Russian radicals have formed a terrorist organization called as Russian Ultranationalist formed by Vladimir Makarov, an associate of Imran Zakhaev, the antagonist of the first game. Also the hero of the first game “Soap” MacTavish returns but developers have confirmed that he will not be playable. However he will be along with Sanderson in almost all of the missions that the player will undergo.

Welcome back to the warzone!

There will be tons of new gameplay elements in the sequel. The developers are using an updated engine which powered the previous game. So as expected the visuals and the animations have raved up nicely. There will be tons of new locations to be explored in the game. Players will be traveling to Brazil, a military base in Russia, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. Also players might be fighting in Washington DC judging by the latest Infamy trailer. Modern Warfare 2 will play just like the original. But developers have pointed to this by saying that there a lot a things which will run in the background that the player will not be aware of, but it will enhance the overall gameplay. As can be seen from the various trailers and developer interviews, Modern Warfare will feature huge and massive environments. This is the real next gen Modern Warfare, that’s what the developers say and we will know that very soon.

Snowmobile chases will feature high speed action!

There are a tons of new features which will be present in the game. We will list out some of them and than we will start talking about the multiplayer component of the game.

Epic single-player campaign picks up immediately following the thrilling events from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The definitive multiplayer experience returns, with a host of new perks and enhancements.

New cooperative SpecOps mode, the perfect combination of Modern Warfare’s single-player intensity and the addictive replayability of its multiplayer

Huge presence of US military base

M60A1 Vehicle Launch bridge

F15 Bomb Vehicles

SnapShot soldiers

Base Jumping

PDV through riot shield

Bounding Landmines

Player controlled Rafts and snowmobiles

So as you can see there are a ton of new features which were not present in the original. One thing that needs to be mentioned is the use of physics in the game. For example in the snow mobile chase sequence the use of physics is quite prominent. Your snow mobile will jump and bump off realistically. Now lets talk about that portion of the game that made the first game so successful: Multiplayer.

In Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will be divided in to Online and Special ops.

Special Ops: Special ops mission will be similar to what we have seen in Mile High Club episode in Modern Warfare. Special ops will support co-operative for up to two players or one can go alone. Some of the maps will be directly from the single player missions. Players will be divided in to a number of groups and the objective is to reach the end of the level. Once the goal is reached a menu will appear which will show the statistics for the mission. For this the player will be rewarded with stars which can be used to unlock further missions.

Online Mode: Featuring the experience point system that made the first game a hit, the online mode will return with even more new features. There will be new weapons and gadgets and also the player will have the ability to call in an air strike from AC-130 gunship. Another awesome feature is the game host migration which means if the current host leaves than the players will remain active unless a new host is found. More online modes are included in the game. Here is the list:

Free-For-All

Search & Destroy

Demolition, Domination

Team Deathmatch

Capture The Flag

For hardcore fans, Infinity ward are making them happy by announcing various type of bundles and retail packages.

Standard: Will be for Windows and will have the game.

Hardened: Steel case packaging, art books and the code to download the original Call of Duty from XBLA and PSN.

Prestige: Will include the Hardened contents as well as a cool Night Vision Goggles

Other than that, Microsoft and Activision have announced a 250 GB Xbox 360 bundle along with a game, two controllers and a new faceplate, plus two downloadable maps exclusively on XBL. Modern Warfare 2 is offering more than what the original offered. The original had some of the most intense and nail bitting action. And looking how it is going for Modern Warfare 2, there is no doubt it will achieve the same amount of success. But surpassing what the original achieved will be a tough challenge, be it the sales or the review scores. Any case we will know soon enough as the game hits November 10th, 2009. Stay tuned to GB for more news and updates.

So here it is the first video of wildly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. So without wasting any time let me describe the trailer for you:

1. Will you be piloting Helicopter and Planes this time around?

Welll judging from the trailer it certainly looks like so. The trailer begins with a couple of helicopters flying over a sea. The trailer also showed flight planes flying off in the distance, so it might be safe bet that Modern Warfare 2 will be the first in the franchise to actually have user controller air vehicles.

2.Second part of the trailer shows soldiers doing suplexes on other soldiers. Whats this all about?

Well actually, it seems that you will be jumping directly from the planes and landing directly into the enemy zone. Yes i know , many First Person shooters have done it before. But with the action and the rage for which Call of Duty series is known, it will be a totally different experience.

3. I see soliders travelling through Submarines and Warfare in snowy areas?

For the first time, it seems like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be taking the war under water and into the snowy regions. Now imagine the possibilities under Water or in a snow storm. Just cant wait to play these two levels when the game comes out.

4. Why does trailer End so fast?

The reason is simple, there’s going be another trailer on May 24th, 2009. Watch out!

Watch the trailer here:
