Move along, they say. Nothing to see here, they say.

Not even a day ago, we reported that Bill Murray, the voice actor for Captain Price on Infinity Ward’s multi-million, best selling series Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, was on his way to their headquarters to discuss the sequel to Modern Warfare 3. Naturally, that only lit the fuse on rumours that Modern Warfare 4 was already in productions – rumours that Infinity Ward were quick to snuff out.

Today, Infinity Ward tweeted the following:

“Interesting news today, but it’s not true. We’ve not talked with any voice actors, so all news is speculation.”

Which would immediately put to rest any and all speculation that there was a Modern Warfare 4 on the way.

However, maybe it’s possible that the sequel they’re working on follows a completely different series? After all, the number of monikers Infinity Ward and Activision have licensed for the series is ridiculous. As it stands, best to take it with a grain of salt, but nonetheless, keep your eyes and ears open.
