The story focuses on Kazer, who merges with Arena, a symbiont. With many enemies to deal with, they must work together to survive. The setting is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, with several weapons to choose from and different abilities to experiment with.

While Lost Soul Aside initially began development under producer Yang Bing, UltiZero Games was established in January 2017, and over 40 developers are on board. It’s had a fair number of delays, but according to Yang, the project is “steadily progressing.”

“With the strong support of Sony Interactive Entertainment ‘China Hero Project,’ as well as development funding and the opportunity to bring Lost Soul Aside to a global audience, the development progress of Lost Soul Aside is steadily progressing and we are looking forward to providing more updates and details soon.”

Lost Soul Aside is coming to PS4 and PS5. Stay tuned for further updates in the coming months.

Sony has announced that it will be hosting and livestreaming a Spring Showcase for China Hero Project, its incubation initiative to provide more support to Chinese video game developers for creating games on the PS4. The showcase will be held less than a week from now on March 7.

They’ve confirmed that it will include updates on games that have already been announced as part of the project, while new games will also be announced. In August last year, Sony shared updates on several such projects, including the likes of Lost Soul Aside, Project Boundary, Kill X, Hardcore Mecha, and Pervader. It’s likely that many of these will be present at the Spring showcase in a few days’ time again.

Sony also shared a number of posters in its announcements for the showcase and hinted at clues hidden within, mentioning that those who can figure them out will win limited prizes.

We reported recently that Sony would be sharing new details on China Hero Project games during a press conference held in China, and that’s indeed what they’ve done. There are quite a few exciting games that Sony is bringing to gamers through the China Hero Project for the PS4 and the PlayStation VR. During PlayStation China’s press conference in Shanghai, Sony revealed some new trailers for some of the games that are a part of this project, including Lost Soul Aside, Project Boundary, Kill X, Hardcore Mecha, and Pervader. 

Some of the trailers also provide release dates, so we get to learn that Project Boundary will release in 2019, and Kill X is set to release for the PS4 this winter. On the other hand, Hardcore Mecha and Pervader are simply said to be coming soon, so make of that what you will. However, we have no information at all regarding when Lost Soul Aside is set to release, and the trailer only states that it is still a work in progress. That said, we do get to see a new female character in the trailer for the game.

For those who don’t know, China Hero Project is an initiative by Sony to encourage more Chinese developers to develop PS4 games. You can check out all of the new trailers below.

Ahead of Chinese digital and entertainment expo known as ChinaJoy, Sony Interactive Entertainment China have announced that they will be holding a press conference themselves. It will be held tomorrow, August 2nd, between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM local time, as was confirmed by the official Twitter page of China Hero Project.

So yeah, of course, that gives us a hint of what Sony will be focusing on during the press conference- China Hero Project, and the games it will bring with it. For those not in the know, China Hero Project is an incubation initiative that was kickstarted by Sony not too long ago, with the idea behind it being providing more support to Chinese video game developers for creating games on the PS4.

Of the many games that fall under the banner, we can expect Lost Soul Aside, developed by UltiZero Games, to be among the ones that the press conference will speak about. Many of the games under the project are, of course, VR titles, so we can probably expect a good deal of time of the 60 minute conference to be spent on PlayStation VR.
